    To be fair she have a really good point in general about shelved projects losing passion. But she really did forget this guys age. Also when he came over to the closet and effortlessly ripped the shirt of his hanger I came a little. If it doesnt break after few uses and actually lasts, its super good invention.

    i also work in the retail chain and this is a problem not just at the store level, i see regular hangers damage product (usually when being repacked) before it even makes it to store shelves/racks. other damages are from the container truck making a hard stop, turn, bump in the road, or a forklift ramming into a pallet full of boxed up apparel, looks fine on the out side but inside some of those cheep flimsy plastic hangers have shattered and poked holes in stuff as they are sharp when they break, and his just fold instead of shattering. much of our product got around this by shipping the hangers separate and making the store insert them into the clothes. but this has increased costs, both logistically (store doesn't always get the hanger with the good as its in a 2nd box, + 2x shipping for the same good) and ergonomically (by handling product individually at the store end instead of the production facility doing the hanger insertion, usually with a machine or at least a production line, witch is much cheaper time wise. this kid didn't do enough research if he failed with this hanger, even if it cost 6x what a regular hanger costs it would probably still save a company money, depending on the type of clothing being used as some are not easy damaged oc. wish i could post pics on here, not that i have any on my home PC atm but yeah we got a bunch, there is a reason that clothing is the 2nd most polluting industry in the world just behind big oil, and this hanger could have reduced just a bit of it. there is a lot of waste do to damage that no one views at the store end, they dont waste money by shipping damaged stuff when they know about it.

    @S Tra considering that there's a reason to buy it means that there's a possibility that it'll sell (means "one buyer could give way for more buyers"). All that it needs is to make that perspective (that it's worth it to buy) widespread enough to make a profit. Based on the comments I saw, such perspective is pretty common. Thus, it may work out as an actual product.

    What use would retailers have for this? I worked at target we have a trash can that we fill up every day with broken hangars and have to put hundreds of pairs of clothing back on hangars. This product doesn't make more profit it reduces the bottom line or cost of the business which is just as valuable. Buy less hangars and have employees spend less time doing one job.

    @S Tra "working with elderly" isn't just limited to her. Knowing that there's a reason to buy a product means that it may sell. All that it needs is for such perspective (that the product is worth to buy) to be widespread in order for it to be profitable. Considering that the perspective, "it'll be he helpful to me since I work with elderly" means that anyone like them, as well as the elderly themselves, may see value on the product. Not to mention that "it may help the elderly" isn't the only perspective that sees value on the product, but just a part of it. The main "perspective" here is that it is really helpful. There's already a lot of comments on how helpful the product is and wants to buy it. It means that such perspective (that the product is valuable) is common, thus, may be profitable.

  • @sixjhontongalamar979

    @sixjhontongalamar979

    @S Tra besides, one customer could bring more customers. Saying that a single customer is worthless is pretty close minded as a single customer could help bring a couple, and each of those could bring more. Further, we're not just talking about one customer here since the reason to buy it isn't unreasonable. Edit: if you want a visual representation, then: if you are going to sell a product to group A which has 10 people and be able to sell a product on 1 of them that's 1/10. That 1 customer could convince a couple more on how helpful the product is, then 1/10 -> 3/10 and those couple could do the same and so on. Now that's just if you are going to group A but what about 2 more groups? Group A here is "elderly", Group B = clothes shop etc.
