Why didn't he even look at the boat? Just dig up some dirt and leave. Missed the radio, missed the captain's hat. Not game breaking, but fun to have. and with a 2% spawn rate he may never see that island again.

Ya, it's maddening, but the decision making process is jacked. I have no wood, ignore island. Nothing interesting here, ignore boat. I need scrap n metal, leave island. Just... why?

Z find the crashed boat and plan island are a 2% chance to find sweet find. The boat has good stuff and the island has a lot of stuff around it in the water.

For the upper floors, I would switch to the fancy planks bc they look a lot better and only cost a little bit more

I remember when this game first came out. It's come a long way for sure.

Also the trader allows you to get a canteen which hold ten drinks.

If you take the meat off the shark leave the head then wait a while as it extends the time like you said but then go and harvest the head it extends it even longer. keep the head as you can use it for making the biofuel later and you only need two heads to fill the tank to make the biofuel .

wind direction is really important for your sail, I would make a streamer or flag to know which way the wind is actually going.

Now you dont need a verticle pole you can just put the horizontal pole and complete the food room celing. Also you have to use bow to kill the birds sitting on the nest that way you can kill all the birds and u will get arrow back. you can build bed to avoid the night time.

Maybe add a torch or 2 to light up the place at night.. rafts coming together good!

TIP: Use your bed to sleep through the night. Please do this so your gameplay isn't always so dark. Works in MP if all players lie in a bed at same time.

Scarecrows have been fixed and when placed down, the seagulls will target them instead of the crop plots

hmmm, I thought I was the last person to learn that the triangle floors above don't need a pole. You can build the floor and then remove the poles! No poles on the first floor opens up sooooo much space. And my rafts are usually only about 12 x 14 or 15. I couldn't believe the amount of room it creates.

It probably wouldn’t hurt to put a few sacrificial platforms just for free damage on the shark.

You can put small garden plots over grass plots and both can still be used as long as the animals can reach a bit of the grass. You can wall mount the small planter boxes on walls as much as 4 high, maybe 3 if over grass plots. Then enclose the animals in walls with windows and a normal door and a flat or peaked roof. The birds can not get in even if the door is left open, but the animals can get out. They will not path over planter boxes and other small obstacles. Then you can have 9-12 garden plots still within range of the sprinkler. Animals only need 1 grass plot, but it is best to have 2 each in case your batteries go dead. They will not die, but will stop producing. You could do some of them as flowers (you need 12 flowers to max out a beehive production, but they can share the flowers. The bees can go through walls so put them on the other side of the wall where the planter boxes are right now. You should be able to have the one in the middle as flowers and have 3 bee hives on the other side of the wall. Just place them as close together and as close to the wall as you can. You really need 6 beehives to fuel 3 engines. There is a foundation counter you can buy from the traders that tells you the number of foundations. Nets do not count and half blocks count as 1/2. Any holes inside, like for the engines and anchors do not count either. It does not matter how wide the upper stores are or how many stories you have. I personally find it best to keep the raft under 100 and just run one engine. Fueling 3 engines can be a pain. If you are over 300 then put a few more nets in the back or middle. They take mostly rope and you likely have a ton of palm leaves. My raft is 57 and I have 10 tree plots on it and a ton of decorations and such too. I put my beehives and flowers down right next to my bio-fuel fabricator and engines. Since you never pick the flowers they do not need water. I also have enough potatoes planted for the bio-fuel too, but animal heads, fish, and meat are FAR better fuel. I only use the potatoes when I have too. Since I have the water pump right next to it and I have the canteen (holds 10 water and purchased from the vender) and I use the advanced planter boxes (holds 4 each and purchased from the vender also) it is no hassle to water them by hand. The top ones actually get watered through the ceiling from the sprinkler on the second floor. Also to fight the boars, just lure them to the water edge. Step up so the charge but back into the water. When the stop step up and stab them a few times and back off again. Just keep repeating until they are dead. Bears are really easy... just stab and back up. The mama bear is the only one you can not do that to. The birds are really hard to kill too. When you get to Utopia I would clean out your inventory of EVERYTHING after you use the zipline twice. You will likely die several times. There are shortcut doors and such you unlock along the way so you do not loose most of your progress.

With all the Palm Leaf's he has, I wonder why he don't use any for his Walls to save himself some wood?

Z you forgot the secret stuff inside of the boat you should have went in there why didn't you did you not know but now you're probably not going to be able to get back there since it's like a 2.0 chance of getting back there if you can explore the plane and the boat next time in this playthrough

So they must have fixed the issue with the physics for the shark. I remember I did the outer ring of the raft. but that punk shark still was eating at the non fortified raft parts.

Yup you leave 1 tile as a sacrificial one on the outer ring then you always know where its biting when you hear it

Yea, I think it was in the newest update. Took me a while to even notice since I'm so used to keeping my raft small on the lowest level so it's cheaper to fortify all of it, and only expanding a few tiles at a time. Edit - I just looked it up and the wiki says that was changed in the CH.2 update so yeah. Oh well.

The grass plot allow the birds to pass through the walls

You should armor the holes for the anchor and engine the shark can get the raft from them

build out the front into a point and put the Grass plots there along with tree plots. the aft part is Engineering while the area behind the nets can be your production. second level is Kitchen and general Storage with living space behind. third level = Steering and Radio towers. don't forget to gun down the Murder Bird and use arrows on Mr. Boar from a safe place.

To save metal there is a armor pattern that helps reduce the amount of metal needed. Just need to look it up.

To stop seagulls from glitching through walls and ceilings to get at your crops, either have two ceilings overhead or make sure any non covered planters (sm,med,lg crop plots, shoe, and grass plot) are more than 8 tiles away from crops building. Seeshell Gaming for scienced it in a vid titled something like how to stop seagull attacks. I don't know if the double roofing works with nearby outside planters, the double roofing comes from a couple of other vids.

You can fortify the raft and use way less fortifications. It's hard to explain in a comment, but look it up :-), that would have saved you so many ingots ! Awesome videos, keep them coming :-).

Hey Z I was wondering if you could do all the achievements like killing the mama bear and finding all the secret islands and even the tiki stuff all the tiki stuff and make once you find all of them it will form into a tower and you get a cool Tiki mask please try to get all the achievements unlocked in this playthrough I know you haven't gotten them all in other playthroughs like killing the mama bear it takes like 50 something arrows

I had my animal farm at water level and suddenly my chicken glitched and was left behind in the sea. Fortunately I realized it, stopped the boat and had to swim some hundreds of meters to take it back. Use half walls to make an elevated farm and avoid this problem

It you use rope fences the pipes will go right through them. You can also use triangle pieces to make sure you don't call tough the water pipe hold in the deck.

the grass plot should be 28blocks away from green house so the green house is seagull proof

fighting the pig is easier if you get it to the edge of the water it wont come into the water so you can stand in water and hit it. at the right distance you can hit it and it not hit you

I've always picked up every piece of scrap from the islands, and I constantly run low on that resource. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, lol.

Please sleep during the night and work only during days. And when you go to islands just park the raft far away from the island so the shark won’t come after you and you can get materials for as long as you want without shark bothering you!

I think grass plots can be watered by being near them with water in your inventory and pressing 'E'.

I have a idea. Maybe you could install one mod for when you have engines cause the mod I think of is a whole redo of the propulsion system so more engines=more speed. But that is your own decission. Keep up the video's and the good work love it

Kind pointless now. The odds of him returning to boat island, without an island spawning mods, is very rare. Unless he plans on playing the save long after the series ends.
