Does this model use #15 Torx Security screws for disassembly? That would have been the most useful info shown. Common problem I've seen with a non working Shark Powerhead is at 9:00 - the white plastic wire bushing actually cutting the Red power wire to PC board. That wire assembly is hard to replace. You're forced to buy a used EBay replacement part of you want to do it right.

Hi. The whole point of the video is a basic guide to help people who maybe don’t see hidden screws etc. I’ve taken hundreds of shark power nozzles apart and from my experience screw heads are not always the same, I’ve had the exact same models have both a torx screw and others have a cross headed screw so it isn’t something that I could give information on. Also they don’t have a one size fits all as on most they use different sizes but generally Pozi 1 + 2, then Torx T10, T15 and T20 are used across the shark range, however I haven’t taken apart every model so I expect more sizes will be needed. Regards

I'm trying mine now. Torx security drivers are needed. I can see where the belt IS, but can't get at it yet... ordered drivers from Amazon.

Shame there's no commentary to say what size bits, also my model NV601UK has 3 different size bits and the top lid will not come off with out braking, your must be an older model so year might have been a good idea to😢

Hi, I generally do not give details on bits because shark uses different size bits on exactly the same models which if yours is different to mine anyway then it would be impossible for me to know every detail on future variations.

@adamburton2165 hi, thanks for the reply, but it wasn't just the screws, but the base and top parts as well, and unfortunately, it looks as if mine will not cone apart unless i you break it in two 😢

Some of this video is off screen or your arm is in shot stopping us from seeing the things that you are doing. Overall it a purposeful video. Unfortunately mine isn't coming apart quite as easily as yours. One of the biggest things to go wrong apparently is the bottom hose, you don't show that. Good try.

Hi, this was one of my first videos,I have tried to show more in newer videos but I have one camera which is put between me and the object and trying to take items apart isn’t easy, I can take these apart in about 90 seconds without the camera in between, I don’t get paid anything for doing these videos but it takes a good 2 hours to make, edit and upload, and I’m on a budget camera as it’s not worth spending more when it’s not for profiting, I do aim to make clearer videos but once it’s taken I’m not putting it all back together to start again but thank you for your feedback, regards

@@adamburton2165 Hi Adam, My comments were not meant to critisize but were meant to be constructive and help, if nobody says anything that doesn't help at all. This video was very helpful and indeed made the task easier although I was after refitting a bottom hose which appears to be a very common fault, I didn't see it removed ready for replacement. I am very sorry if you thought that I was being hard on you but as previousy said I thought this video was very helpful, please accept my apologies for any upset that you may have felt, it wasn't meant that way. Keep up the good work and produce many more videos. Best regards.
