SHARK CAGE DIVING! 🦈 GREAT WHITE SHARKS & AUSTRALIAN SEA LIONS- Port Lincoln, South Australia.
Great White Shark cage diving was high on my bucket list activities and if its to on yours I sure hope you add it after seeing this video!!
I'm joined again by my adventure buddy Kristin (AKA Goody) for this Adrenaline filled adventure!
We booked the combo experience through Calypso Star Charters in Port Lincoln, South Australia. Our day started at 11am taking a 1.5 hour boat ride to see the endangered Australian sea lion colony, which with guidelines we were allowed to spend 1 hour in the water with them playing. They were very inquisitive of us all but were a little to shy to get to close. From there the boat took another 2hours to get to the South Neptune Islands. We had some swell and people were dropping like flies so make sure you take sea sickness tablets the night before getting on the boat and the morning of. We arrived at the Island where the day dive boat said they only saw two sharks. We waited around 45mins untill we got our first glimpse at a Great white. Our boat was super lucky as all 30 guests got to experience seeing a shark while in the cage. We also had time to have second cage experiences if we wanted... which of course most of us did. We arrived back at port Lincoln at 12am a little water logged but still buzzing from this absolutely incredible experience. 10/10 recommend and would do it all again!

Good stuff.. how awesome it is that they can gracefully glide in almost camouflaged (6:13) then 100’s kilo of appears out of nowhere. Amazing creatures. Thanks for sharing

It sure was!!! No experience needed. You’re only just under the water in the cage.

The full day combo tours are around $600ish or you can do half day tours.

Is there no risk of sharks hunting the sea lions you're swimming with? 😂 I'm doing this next year.
So amazing. I am planning a trip there in January. I am so afraid of sharks and diving in a cage. Is it scary? Is it more scary when you are in the boat about to go down or when you are under the water inteh cage. Do you feel safe?

I felt completely safe the whole time. The sharks weren't interested in us in the cage at all. they hardly wanted to eat the bate to come closer to us. I'm sure if the cage wasn't their though that would be another story. they are very clever animals and very beautiful to watch. they camouflage so well. I would 100% go back to do a full day of seals and full day of the sharks.
