Hello Gwen from below. Wing loading is described this way. Let's say at gross weight the plane is 3000 lbs. On this same airplane the square footage of the main wing is 200 square feet. You take the weight of the plane divided by 200 and get a load of 15 lbs per square foot. Airliners can have a load of over 100 lbs per square foot. This makes them more stable in turbulence. There are less likely to be moved around by minor atmospheric bumps, etc.

DarkAero… very good social network promotion … of virtual aircraft having virtual performance with virtual engine produced by virtual technology by virtual team. boys have good game, burning money, and making big waves. to deliver aircrafts and live from it is different story, not so funny. Basic mistakes - type of used engine plus no turbo, hollow grid technology, composite aircraft with metal shapes, planned empty weight -no way -I expect 70- 100 kg more, backward retracting all gears will make them tough life with CG. Lancair and Glasair framed this group a years ago, with thousands of produced kits and flying aircrafts. This is placed somewhere between, but with above mentioned mistakes. It will not beat them. it will take next years and years while they will have something like product. But nice movies, enjoying, good luck.

@@sharkairplane Thank you for filling in the blanks! They are impressive number for such a small aircraft! My concern with aircrafts like yours is the fact that their capabilities are way out of league for the average pilot. On top of that I truly hate the present multi-function displays they are very impractical to scan, but worse to handle in emergency situations with the statistics proofing over and over again that I'm right! But what I love to see on any modern aircraft is the unrestricted visibility that you provide in your design. Wishing you success with your sales and for your future!

The engine is quite heavy for a 600 kg/1300 lbs mtow aircraft limiting the payload. Shark with 140 hp will fly over 215 kts in cruise, which is over the flutter limits of current airframe. There are also other reasons but these are the 2 key ones.

@bubbafatas2588 You probably fly for the US. Speed has officially supposed to be kmh for at least the last 14 years globally. Hopefully when the US collapses soon the world will finally be allowed to go metric. We are begging for it in aviation here in Australia.

@@yamascott That's what I said. 300kmh is 300,000 metres per hour, not 186. It's metres also, not meters. A metre is a unit of measurement for length, a meter is a device you measure with.

What's the useful load? What's the fuel capacity? What's the price? An entire long video with no price! Why not a simple Lycoming engine? Why this expensive and complicated rotax? Why do you talk in km/h? Clearly you're not pilots. We don't fly in km/h. Our maps and airspeed indicators aren't in km/h. Who's buying these planes? The GA environment in Europe is so horrible for the average pilot. Yeah, nice video, but zero practical information.

Typical emty weight is 350 kg, MTOW 600 kg. Fuel 150 litres. Price from 200 k up to about 280k €, typical “full option” is 240k. At today inflation rate this is very temporary information. Lycoming? -if you look to one of our closest competitor Lycoming instalation, you will get higher weight=lower payload, lower speed, double fuel consumption, half range. Look to power/weight of engines. I fly 42 years. in km/h. Happy. On our low speeds - approach, landing, stall I see it more precise. We live in metres, milimetres, kilometres, kilograms, litres, celsius world. Happy. Who is buying? In Europe is sold about 1000 UL aircrafts per year. If you compare it with certified aircrafts, you fly for fraction of price per hour, very often faster, with lower consumption, better instruments and safer because of installed parachute. Ya, Europe is fragmented - a lot of countries. Sometimes not so simple. Even average pilots are happy to live here. :)
