that fireworks story made me love Maxine even more! imagine how good of a person she is, she was also going through an emotional rollercoaster yet she still made Nicole feel appreciated! Maxine was the most bashed representative yet she didn't let her bashers get into her! proves that queens aren't made overnight! they're made through resilience, perseverance, and strong will to succeed! these two ladies are the best example for future generations! If only Rabiya had a strong will like these two, she might've not lost focus while she was competing! hopefully, future queens will look up to the likes of Maxine, Nicole, Catriona, Pia, and Megan, how they managed to handle stressors, the pros and cons of competing, and the will to be a very good delegate of the Philippines even with very toxic cultured fans. thank you Nicole for showing us a different side of Maxine!

She was bashed so many times but Maxine really has the X-Factor, the sass as a Miss Universe Philippines representative. In other words, malakas ang presence niya. She is also a great actress. I also loved that she was unbothered despite the backlash she received. I realized sobra pala pressure sa kanya noong siya representative but I commend her strength, her “Alta” aura.

The ones who bashed Maxine Medina just because she was picked as Miss Universe PH 2016 over Kylie Verzosa are bandwagon fans who ride the coattails of Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray winning Miss Universe titles and only want back-to-back MU title reigns and not knowing Philippine pageantry as a whole.

I can still vividly remember how I protected and defended Maxine from my classmates in grade 7 who are intensely and relentlessly bashing her. Looking back now, I just realised how strong Maxine is as a woman and as an individual. Despite all her criticisms, she still fought with grace and poise. She reached top six with a confident heart and a courageous soul and that is something that we should all be proud of. Back-to-back victory is not easy to achieve, guys. Do not put too much pressure on our delegates because they still deserve to be treated with compassion. I love you, Maxine!!! 💛💛

I remember nung time na sabi ni Maxine, Na si Nicole pa ang tumutulong sa kanya sa Q and A kasi weakness niya yun tapos si Maxine naman ang nagtuturo kay Nicole for walk kasi weakness naman ni Nicole yun, Kaya Ang ganda talaga ng concept of Binibining Pilipinas kasi Hindi lang korona ang makakamit mo in your journey, Yung sisterhood talaga eh yun yung hinding hindi mawawala ❤🤗 I love this ❤✨

I remember, I even skipped school just to watch Maxine on MU finals. I even made my own twitter account just to join the twitter party. I'm a total fangirl, screaming whenever she appears on screen. I don't know why, pero nung time na nag d-doubt ang mga pinoy sakanya at binabash siya ay mas lalo ko siyang nagugustuhan. For me that MARIA! MIKA! MAXINE! MEDINAA! I bet the backlash would've been just as bad if not worse had Kylie Verzosa was picked to represent the Philippines in Miss Universe 2016, but not win that title.

This vlog took us to the other side of pageantry's reality. Because most of us were being feed by fallacies that girls who join pageants are 24/7 glamorous with the help of those dresses, footwears, make ups, accessories and the rest but not with Ms. Maxine Medina and I felt throughout the whole video how Ms. Nicole Cordoves really loves her by showing Miss Maxine's rawness as a person. Ms. Nicole doesn't sounds like bragging when she told us there were times Ms. Maxine wore her garments, it just her telling us that "I'm your kind of friend who'll fill the hole for you and will provide what you need as long as I'll be able to do so." These queens are so authentic that's why the universe put them in the kind of limelight where people should see them as an example. In this world full of Maxine Medina's simplicity there's always a one Nicole Cordoves out there who can put colors on that. A total package of what we called friendship. Thank you for being an inspiration!

I actually think Maxine is one of the most facially beautiful queens we sent to MU. She and Gazini top my list. I saw her in person once when she was promoting her movie, she really is an exceptional beauty!

I think maxine has one of strongest character amongst all the candidate that we sent in miss u. Imagine the pressure of being a successor of pia, Miss U held in the PH and all the Bashers in social media yet she was totally unbothered (or maybe she was inside)but it never showed.

My sentimental fave MUP Maxine!!! Love her a lot. Regardless ng bashing even si Gloria Diaz sumama, never siya pumatol, always the classy one!!

I have always been a 4MforMU all the way, I love that unbothered confidence in Maxine. She is facially one of the best MUP we have showcased in the universe stage. the "Alta" queen aura that is very Filipina, sweet composed and strong quiet confidence. It is nice to note that both of you shared a memorable journey in BBP 2016. I really enjoyed watching and discovering this side of Phil pageant at that time. I love both of you.
