Sharing God's Gift of Laughter Through Life's Tragedies Part 2 - Chonda Pierce

Well-known comedian, Chonda Pierce shares transparently from her life, raising her children with her husband, David as the stay-at-home parent, while she traveled a great deal, making people laugh all across the country. When the kids graduated and left for college, her husband, David found himself alone at home and started drinking and then couldn't stop.
Chonda also shares tragedies from her past--the death of two sisters and childhood abuse she suffered at the hands of her father, who was also a minister, but mentally unstable. Listeners are encouraged to call our counselors for prayer, wisdom and advice during times of depression and loss and when dealing with alcohol addiction.

What I enjoyed and appreciated was she tells us how God is our source, loves us, and though we may be single, either thru divorce or never married and long for a spouse, God loves us, is really all we need. We have to differentiate between feelings and the truth. It's eye opening.

I recommend Highly, her book "Second Row, Piano Side". I knew she would make me laugh in her book, what I wasn't expecting was how much of it made me cry. She Truly has been through it. And still kept her faith!

She has wisdom and insight that she is able to share and teach. Most importantly that she is willing to share. She is absolutely brave. She also does an exceptional job talking with these men, who don't really share much of their lives, but ask a lot of her. They aren't as relatable. Interesting. It is evident and understandable why she has such a far reaching and successful ministry.

Chonda’s gift of reaching out to others by keeping it real. This is part 2 of Chonda’s talk. Towards the end of this video it caused my heart to weep when Chonda shares her life story. So many people love Chonda and her ability to make others laugh when she performs on stage. We are lifted in spirit by Chonda’s Words. She’s a wonderful vessel/tool that can be used by God in helping others in their own journey in this thing we call life.

It's true. It took me about 25 years before I knew I needed to ask God to forgive me and I needed to forgive me. I had such a strong will that I hid all the hurts and anger.

When Satan, the whisperer, the father of lies, pounces on you and tells you that you will not amount to anything, that you can not do anything right, that you mess everything up, WHILE you are breaking his finger remind yourself, IF you are a Born Again Child Of God, WHO IS your Loving Father. When Satan points his bony, lying finger at you, and reminds you of your past, BREAK his bony, lying finger WHILE you REMIND him of his future😊. wado,Ann Benson.

I appreciate you and your life and ministry so much but I am so tired of everyone saying “get help.” We know from so many that AA, NA, rehab multiple times doesn’t work. The only help is from the board and from family if we let them help. The mental healthcare system in our society is so broken. And I’m very sorry for all of your losses. And I pray that someday you’ll be able to kick the depression because it kills And destroys

Sorry I said the Lord not the Bored and I think the reason everybody says to get help and to call 911 and watch you up in the hospital or jail it’s just because they don’t know what else to do it doesn’t cure anything.
