Speculating there will be a road around the southend, and these passages will extend under the road for the fire escape to be away from the building. 6:05. Southend, south. West fire escape passage. Tele-handler approaches. Holes in the retaining wall are lifting points for the forklift blades. 7:12. Southend, west. Apron. Precast wall panels on the trailer. Cast-in recesses that fit over the hanging brackets visible in the rear face. 11:23. GA, apron. Trailer load of unpainted steel. For additional works within the building. 11:43. Main Entrance. The gravel bed has been lowered the length of the 3 concrete strips. Edge of the concrete apron exposed also. Curious. 13:31. Pond. Bottom left. Drain outfall. Black. That don’t look right (again). Fire sprinkler system discharge likely. 16:07. Cathode, west. Tank Farm. Delivery of an industrial gas. Presumably liquid oxygen. Tanks are marked liquid oxygen. 17:09. MM Batch Plant. Returned concrete being dumped in the same area where the crusher was operating. Previous removal and crushing of waste can’t have been associated with the reported closure of the batch plant.

@@JoeTegtmeyer I think you're a great guy and a dedicated aerial documenter of GF Texas. Unfortunately you can't help speculating, guessing, and making foolish comments in the narrations. Your other "interview" videos (i.e. Solar Roof, Corvette gathering, etc.) are great. but at GT, you can't help yourself. In the flyover just before GT's Grand opening you were bloviating that the large scaffold towers on the North end were for launching fireworks! 😂 The next day, they had video projectors on the scaffolds and all fireworks were on the then empty lot across the highway. ☹ If you know for sure, speak up. Otherwise say nothing. Even mediocre music is better.

Thanks and sorry I missed you. I got there very early, but then went to the welcome center which put me in a long trail of cars. Nonetheless, it was great to be able to see as many people and experience as much of the event as I could. I thought it was fantastic and I hope you did as well!

It looks like the cathode factory is getting very close to production with trailers and gas deliveries. At the very least commissioning of the factory is going on.

An overpass would be far easier and cheaper. But something is sorely needed to avoid the danger and bottleneck of multitudes of pedestrians crossing the road.

The tunnels I believe they are for the water lines Pipes to enter and exit the water towers are going to have huge pipes entering and exiting the Buildings.

Wrong side of the building. @ 4:44 You can see one of the 5' diameter pipes in a trench. Which is heading east towards the cooling tower.

Those wall panels look like they are the old ones from the original southern end of the building & are being reused. Is this correct, Joe?

Only panels that could be re-used would be from Stamping 2. That said, these are new panels. Removed panels would be painted inside and out. At 7:03 the rear face is visible of the panels on the trailers. No visible former fixing points.

@gordoncampbell7120 Some people seem to think it's for fire escape. Don't think so myself. The screw piles to reinforce the ramps out, (or in?) make me wonder why they need any reinforcing for pedestrian traffic. That there are heavy elevators by each tunnel has me scratching my head as well. Think it might be quite interesting, and maybe linked to the big glass windows. That makes me think it will be some kind of display for a novel manufacturing aspect. Remember when VW built that glass faced factory for the Phaeton? So far, I don't think anyone has any good ideas.

A lot of permitting would be required for them to drill a tunnel up to the Taylor TX rail yard. Enough people watch for those types things that we’d know well before they star setting up.

Pretty sure with so many oversized loads involved they move that all by semi. I’ve seen some here advocate for a tunnel up to the rail yard. To be honest it makes sense especially once FSD is capable but not permitted on open roads. The rail unions would be sure they are loaded by people but that could be the first time a person dives them once they leave the line.

The reason I made my comment is he never calls at a parking garage, he calls it for the last year a multilevel parking garage, kind of weird that he would say that. Does he say that it’s a multi Lane highway that he’s goes over, does he call the Tesla building a multi story factory? No…..

He does weird things like constantly calling the carbon reinforced non-rust framework for cooling towers plastic, mixing up casting and stamping, and ANY pipework is for aircon... But he does dig into filings, is regular and best we got.

By 2035, I suspect that personal audio video recording capabilities will be so fully integrated into people's persons that bans against recording will no longer be possible; anyone attempted to restrict will have to rely on the ethics of the visitor.

They lose their job "to save money for the company", while at very same time, the CEO gets $56 billion (stock that can be exchanged for real money)! Not only do they lose their job, it's the way they lost their jobs. Informed by email without warning. Furthermore... What message does that send to those who remain? It is crystal clear. The same thing could happen to them. Then there's the obscene amount of the compensation. Yes, he deserves to be paid for the work done, as everyone who works deserves to be paid. It is the amount. Final point is the disregard for the legal system. If he disagrees with the court ruling, he should appeal it, NOT try to get around it. What message does that send to the rest of us? While I don't like him, I would say the same thing for any CEO of any company if their compensation was $56 billion! Anyway that is my opinion on the subject. I know you don't agree with me but at least give it some thought.

Somebody just said to me that Elon must get paid at The Boring Company, but he doesn't need that contract with Telsa to get money incoming because he just got his package. He thinks that's why there won't be another tunnel for a while.

Boring Company is busy expanding the tunnel system in Las Vegas. They broke ground on phase 2 in April and plan to have a total of 68 miles in the area once it’s all said and done.

That doesn't sound very well thought out. Elon makes plenty of money by other means. The Boring Company brings in a lot less revenue than the other companies in his portfolio. Now, a more interesting and appropriate question would be how the employees of The Boring Company are getting paid... I believe that the company has contracts for projects in Las Vegas, but there is also a lot of R&D going on to develop the next iterations of the The Boring Machine (TBM). Doubt that the LV and Giga Texas contracts bring in enough money to fund all of that, so TBC is probably still reliant on venture capital.

Elon does not need money. He spends almost nothing on himself. He just wants a lot of money that he controls for future projects.
