Setting up Shared Coordinates in Revit is one of the topics that many people seem to struggle with. It can be intimidating and confusing, and there are several ways it can be achieved. In this example we will demonstrate a simple and quick process to get coordinates set in your model, assuming you have access to a Civil base file or survey file.

thanks for the video. one point though. when you rotate the CAD file to align to a horizontal direction, it will also transfer the angle when you acquire coordinates from the CAD file. there was no need for a separate step to set true north. thanks

This is a great video. EvolveLAB FTW! What are you best practices on having a SITE model and importing TOPO from Civil 3D Base file? Do you feel the need to export from Civil 3D into DWG to fix the 20 mile error?
I just want to used the same coordinates that are used in Civil 3D. Nothing more....
