I agree ! I think they were so connected that from the first note that Sharay played together with the drummer with absurd precision and even when he paused when he came back at the right time, these are things worthy of being seen, who knows, maybe he'll play live!

I agree, I also point out that from the beginning Sharay's presentation was intense until the end! That's what I like to see! for he was aware of everything he was doing. Nowadays, I don't know if he would be able to do that... because the producers are in the ear by the talkback saying: less note... This takes all the shine out of the presentation.

When I was a kid, I'll NEVER forget my dad telling me ALL this Black music, that entertains the world and that so many people around the world want to and try to emulate & copy hails, or can be traced back to the church. So much love & respect for the Tribe of Juda🇺🇸 from the Tribe of Benjamin 🇯🇲 God does love us - but we must do more for him.
Apart from the worship, what a school of music that is. The number of bass players and drummers waiting their turn, learning from each other, the very young kids paying very close attention. Quite some place. So much happening in this video....

Youngstah watching the drummer at 3:49 is gonna out play them all 🤟🏽 The best part of this video are seeing all the youth watching and waiting to pick an instrument and groove one day. Churches have gotten so big with building remodels and declining attendance, the power bill is to high for after service jams and the times in-between to learn and discover. Thus the church grown musicians have declined, and the price per musician has soared do to scarcity. We better go back to the lil chuuch where we honed our skills.

I've watched some of covers of this song and none of them can play the song like he does. His groove is just out of this world.

The covers we’re playing notes, he was expressing himself, while watching the director.
Notice how the two other bassists eventually danced. He led us in praise. Thank you brother...M
The bassline is sooo clear. There is no studio version that i know of. Just listen to it and learn it by section, the bass line is soo clear bc of the recording quality.. You can and will learn this too!! Im a lead guitarist and am soooo inspired by this dedication and skill. All fingers!! #FretNation
I moved to Chitown from Newark NJ and I was amazed at the incredible musicians. I was telling a guy here in the ATL about Chicago gospel and he asked why did I think it was so special. This video explains it better than I ever could. Look at all of these young guys aspiring to be like Sharay. You’ve got guys sitting there who will go to make their own mark in gospel music. Growing up in the NYC area we had a gospel scene but it was nothing like this. Chicago has the culture that breeds this type of excellence in gospel music...
Whoever decided to record this video deserves a medal
We need a clean re-recording of these master piece
