Imagine India's domination in the Olympics if our Sports Infrastructure wasn't so corrupt, if our mentalities didn't just revolve around academics and if everyone started to recognize other sports as much as they recognise Cricket. We're proud of our athletes!!🇮🇳❤

That was some serious skill shown by Sharath. Despite Table Tennis not being so popular sport in India, I am amazed by looking at the pool of talents we have. Just imagine if we educate our school kids to play such sports and invest in more other ways at the grass-roots level, then we too will dominate the world just like how China has achieved over the past decade or so.

Huh....I don't think so. There was big talk before this olympics about double digit medals coming in our basket and what not. We need better broadcasting and sponsorship for these players. How many matches apart from Olympics do we watch of the Indian legend MC Mary Kom, how many matches events were required for a great wrestler Bajrang Punia to enter the Olympics? How many ties did we see of Neeraj Chopra the javelin thrower? Do random indians on streets even know the names of the respective Indian and World federations of these sports? They will be knowing BCCI and ICC.The sad part is that India does not even win that many trophies in cricket ,at men's or women's level. Somehow through the economical power of the cricket board and the power of masses, we are dominating the cricket scene. That's it.

We all know that he is a Indian legend who recently clinched 4 medals in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games out of which 3 were Gold and 1 was a Silver medal. He sure is a legend and the whole nation is proud of him. If he returns for the last time in the Paris Olympics 2024 then Indians will surely wish that he goes ahead of the Round of 16 stage and who knows can end up in the Semi Finals (which is definitely hard). The indian played quite well, managed to caught Ma off guard wrong footed and even won a set . Its just his lack of international competition and expereince as compared to Ma with more than 10 years of top ranking.
