Dennis Rodman and Hakeem, handled Shaq, like he was a child. The refs, let Shaq get away with charges after charges. They would call it on other players, but not Shaq. So unjust. They stole the game, from Pippin to give Shaq, his first championship. Shaq was more of a football player, than basketball

I’m a die hard Lakers fan, Shaq is a pillar of our franchise. Respectfully, the league has never had to worry about a single man longer and more than LeBron James.

Thing is, if you put teams together to beat one player it's no question about fear. He was by himself and teams put top level talent players together and not oldhead players to stop him. Getting MVP's to join other MVP's in order to beat him is an indictment against any BS any player says about LeBron.

They are 1 dimensional players. Klay can play defense and set up teammates, as well as other number 2's and 3's. They stayed hurt. 1 dimensional players add nothing to a team. Everything LeShannon said had no validation whatsoever! 1. It wasn't the same 04 Pistons LeBron beat in 07 bec both 4 time DPOY defensive unit Ben.W and HoF Coach Brown wasn't in them team in 07. That's like talking taking off Rodman and Phil Zen master off the Bulls. 2. There is no proof or evidence that The Celtics built their team bec of LeBron. As Pierce was 1 year from free agency at the time and they didn't wanna ruin his chances with him entering his peak so they had the opportunity for both Ray and KG in difficult deals. Tho The Toronto series they were scared indeed. So I give him that.

I think the Lakers missing the playoffs and the team looking so bad. Changed the amount of admiration, some players had for LeBron. I swear most of these ppl forget lebron before he went to the heat he was scary asf and wasn’t even in his prime then he was young asl and after he got to the heat he was crazy asf. Even in 2018 that year cavs was horrible but he literally dragged them to the finals. In 2015 finals he dropped 40 42 41 32 23 37 (not in order) only dropped less then 32 1 game and a avg 35! And they gave iggy the finals because he “stopped lebron” and not curry😂. But if lebron had kyrie and k love eveyeone knows they would’ve won!!

With the truly feared players, the fear doesn't get flipped, It's permanent. LeBron never had it like that, his opponents would prefer he take the final shot in a game, rather than pass it to a Ray Allen type of clutch shooter.

skip will never accept the famous saying "THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEBODY BETTER THAN YOU OUT THERE" meaning eventually there will be somebody better than Jordan. He also needs to understand that the game changes over time and talent comes in different ways.

Which teams made it to the NBA finals before the Celtics were formed? The Cavs led by Lebron and the San Antonio Spurs while the Lakers were knocked out of the first round by the Suns…I’m pretty sure the Celtics had also put together most of their team that offseason before the Lakers did so why would they be gearing up for a team that was most recently a first round knockout compared to the teams that just made the finals? I’d like for you to make sense out of that please.

Wrong.. Boston literally had the worst record in the East while LeBron was leading the Cavs to The Finals.. the Celtics and Pierce weren't getting past LeBron and the Cavs without Garnett and Allen.. Boston had to give everything they had to beat the Cavs in 7 during those 2008 playoffs.. they had to worry about LeBron before even thinking about Kobe.

Everybody ate when Lebron went to the Finals.

It's the same way with Tim Duncan nobody feared Tim, but it doesn't take anything away from his greatness he could put up numbers. If you notice I never said LeBron wasn't a great player, but he isn't a killer on the court that's not how he plays. That Celtic team you speak of if I remember correctly Larry Bird said MJ was Jesus in disguise. Larry knew he had the better overall team, but MJ was the better player. If you take Kyrie out of that series against the 73-9 Warriors the CAVS lose. LeBron is great, but not on the level of Jordan or Shaq they were monsters at their positions.

It's all about intangibles and perception. Kobe and Mike were highly feared for sure, they were doing more emotional and phychological damage (attitude, trashtalk, eye contact, ego, killer instinct,...). In the other hand, we have lebron with his great talent, his massive gifted body but also his friendly approach, his hilarious stories and his role model image (son, husband, father, community engagement, etc.). Nobody fear that. It's all about perception, nothing to do with talents... for many years the league was afraid from Ron artest, Bill laimbeer and Charles oakley.

Kobe wasn’t even a threat to make it to the finals until the Lakers got Gasol mid year. The 2008 Celtics were built to compete for a title. Miami was built to beat the Celtics because they couldn’t get past them. Celtics were not built solely to beat the Lakers.

Kobe was more than a threat. They were coming off back to back playoff appearances in 06 and 07. And everybody knew, if the Lakers get a little bit of help, they will be a problem. In 2005 they didn’t make the playoffs, 2006 they blew a 3-1 lead the lose to Phoenix in the first round, 2007 they lose in 5 to the Suns again in the first round. My entire argument was that Boston team was not assembled with it’s ONLY reason being to beat Kobe’s Lakers in the finals when they couldn’t even get out of the first round three years before.

I think they are both off the mark with what Shaq said. I think he is saying that like people didn’t fear him physically like they did Shaq or a Giannis because they play to their size, Lebron never really has played to that size and made himself so physically dominant that no one could stop him. I think that’s what Shaq was saying, not that nobody feared Lebron as a player.
