Charlie Hunnam is an amazing actor. The scene in Sons of Anarchy where Jax finds Tara's body was absolutely gut wrenching and quite frankly an Oscar worthy performance.

It's so refreshing to hear Charlie speak with so much conviction and clarity on his part in this story; you can tell that it's a story that resonates with him deeply, and he doesn't take lightly being entrusted to adapt this novel into a TV show. With the news of Apple TV canceling Shantaram, I desperately hope that Charlie can reclaim the rights to the script and sell it to another platform. The story of Shantaram needs to be continued; it sucks hearing Charlie saying that it's been an obsession of his to adapt this novel, only for it to be canceled.

You did it hun! And u made it! (Such a nice guy, I’d totally take him if he was available!) Your vision was right that’s why u got the permission from up above to make it happen! I read the first book long time ago and it’s one of my favorite (Martin Eden is the second one). I waited for the movie for so long and I’m glad it came as series. Absolutely right choice. Looking forward for the next season and I’ll finish the second book by that time. Btw I’ve watched Indian series about Shiva and it somehow helped I think to discover a few things… Yep I’ve never been to India but know a lot, read a lot and seeing Shantaram was even more inspiring. Plus, I live in the south of Russia and we have ancient ties with India 🔥….

Hi Aman, there is a simple explanation for this. Because the music comes from India and the series is set exactly there. Therefore, in our opinion, the style is very well suited as accompanying and not disturbing background music for our interview with Charlie.
