    Shannon said that after he got upset he called his sister. His sister who is religious told him, "Shannon, so what if he disrespected you? You're still my brother" and that helped calm him down. Shannon has a good support system to keep him anchored. Skip, sadly, doesn't. From what we've seen, sports is his only thing. He's not close with family, he doesn't have many hobbies outside of sports and sadly it shows. People dislike Skip, but honestly, I feel bad for him.

  • @iamtracywilson

    @@IdunnoBroIjdkSkip also has money. Skip also has choices in life. There are many people like Skip, that dont have a support system, or close to family so do they use that as an excuse to be an a hole? They may be homeless, isolated, depressed, and not a 10th of the money he has. I can have empathy for Skip as I do anyone, but feeling sorry for him, heck no. He is just a spoiled lil rich boy that CHOSE to only put his life into sports and not build or do the work or therapy needed to have a better quality of life and not disrespect and belittle someone that has mastered the game and personal growth in ways that many cant because he did the mental,emotional,and physical work that is required both in sports and in life.

  • @thatstheway2429

    @thatstheway2429

    @@iamtracywilson I totally agree with you. But that’s also why I feel sorry for him. He has the resources, he’s a smart guy, but he just has too much ego and pride to get the help to ultimately live a more fulfilling life. There’s a lot of people suffering out there. Extreme poverty, disease, bad luck. And I don’t believe in comparing people. But in a certain way it can be just as sad to see people with tons of commercial success and wealth, still probably not living a fulfilling life, and generating your wealth on being a generally negative person. Skip became extremely successful and created an entire industry on being intellectually dishonest, and typically disparaging people far more successful than him. I’m not saying his actions are excusable, but it is also sad that that’s the type of behavior that someone would engage in for the majority of their life. And so yes, in a way I do feel sorry for him. All the money in the world doesn’t make that a life worth living.

    Skip Bayless has had a long career in journalism and worth over $17 million. Before Shannon there was Stephen A and when Skip and Shannon split, it was Stephen A that hit him up. Bayless kept a lot of heat off of Sharpe by letting Sharpe be himself and being Bayless being the Dallas loving journalists. Again seven strong years of a successful show and not once did Sharpe ever compromise who he was. I remember when CBS let go of Sharpe , it was not as if he is in hot demand. Bayless did not make Stephen A nor Sharpe but Bayless made sure mainstream media gave these two different personalities the platform to be who they were and give him the business day in and day while learning the ropes. Sharpe is no fool and he knows Bayless fought to get Sharpe on that show. Bayless can retire tomorrow and be financially ok knowing he can ride off to Margaritaville pen down and drinks with a pack of Dew , Le Portier Shay and an Ocho Cinco Cigar ans watch his Cowboys fail in the country comforts of his home never broadcast another show again. Sharpe is trying to build his that and when he gave Ocho a chance to revive his career by paying it fwd because Ocho went ghost for a few years leaving the NFL. Shannon is mature enough to understand the long game and not let some viral clip that went left because Sharpe made a comment about Brady and Skip's clap back destroy a solid broadcast record between them. But what Sharpe , I think has realized is that when you are at the forefront now all the criticism is on him and on Undisputed, the smoke wasnt really on him. Now , it's a whole new arena. Lavell Crawford had yo drop some knowledge on Sharpe about this new level of fame on Club Club Shay Shay. Skip and Shannon will catch up again. Keyshawn ain't and Sherman is meh.
