This gent had some skills, the boat was made with nothing but hand tools, the help of his brother and the company of the loving labrador dogs, the building of this boat was amazing to watch, love this show, and love watching the craftspeople in it, for me, this is one! if not the best TV show to come out of Ireland.

It seems that good content is being overlooked. This is good.

I loved this series when it came out. Have watched it again and again when I could. Superb TV.

He complained there about the quality of timber available. He would shed a tear at the state of available materials today. A slight different topic, but I'm currently dealing with a 1917 built house. The timber is a red pine, not larch but good and dense. It's rotten in places and had been eaten by lime mortar. But, as soon as you get into solid timber, it's hard and beautifully tight grained. Nothing built with graded timber today will be standing in 106 years, like this house is. Then there's the current notion of boat skin larch. You look at older clinker builts and the timber is like nothing being sold as boat building boards today.

Great work! Noah was a fictional character, not a real boat builder, just saying.
