She may not do drag proper anymore but she still paints her face at her DJ gigs. I’ve seen her several times in Toronto and she is painted for the gods.

I'm in AWE of her Brilliance. WOW!! I have always adored Shannel's work, but I didn't know how eloquent and clever she really is. I admire her even more and I can't wait to see her live. Continued Success to her.💕💐🌺

Anyone else ever get confused why she wasn’t the one who was lip syncing against chad? Like they both steamrolled the competition, and raven didn’t win any challenges. Of the biggest robberies.

cleilton araujo honorio I just don’t understand why when they competed in teams of 2, there weren’t 2 winners. Or why ru chose raven to go against chad instead of shannel, or even jujubee, since raven and jujubee had the same track record.

Not really, I mean, track-record-wise, the crown was going to be on Chad or Shannel's head, Jujubee nor Raven stood 0% chance of winning. That final challenge is the one that would determine the top 2, so it should go either Shannel with one from rujubee, chad with one from rujubee, or TeamShad together, and in the first two scenarios, the one that got to the top 2 with the member from rujubee is the one that was going to win, like that was the tie breaker with Chad and Shannel, and in _that_ challenge, Raven and Chad really ddid slay, so in that moment we all knew Chad was going to win. IF the top 2 would've been Chad and Shannel, then the lipsync would've determined the winner. (but tbh they would've fixed it so it looked like Chad did it better).

I’d love to see a season 1 Queen come back on All Stars and win. Or at least, like Bebe, prove that they can succeed in today’s drag race. I feel like people are too quick to write off the season 1 girls and it’s a shame because season 1 had an amazing cast, yet many of them don’t get the same amount of recognition that queens from later seasons get.

There is a big difference between the older queens and thenewer ones. Shannel was not speaking negatively about the others. Not a bit. Even when she talked about Rebecca Glasscock. However, she could tell stories and praise in captivating way. Unfortunately, the interviews with the newer queens lack that depth and excitement.

Shes taken a few years off and on since her season, she moved to New York for awhile working in high end department stores (makeup) and tried acting for a bit, she had a cameo in men in black sequel with the andy Warhol party shes an alien drag queen She almost made all stars 5 but wasn't accepted

Oh Shannel. If she really thinks that Queens go on All Stars only to win, she's missing the real point. Go on and stay in Vegas. Screw the rest of the world who will never know the talent you possess. I guess All Stars hurt Shangela, Manila, Tatiana, and Allysa 🙄

Thinkin the exact same thing! We know the faves are set up to win, but the fans are here for the classics. I loved Tatiana on AS2, i loved Alyssas time as well. Those from the 1st 2 seasons of DR, tho, come back even my kids are like "WOW! Who is that? Look at her ooooh" and then the obsession renews for a new generation. Bc lets be real: all of the "future" kids of drag are basically wearin the same shade of "different" and now classic drag has become refreshingly new. Its like people w/o tatts being the new shiny toy these days

I think Shanel is a nice person but again when she talks about Bebe and how she is Kamerun and all the looks that you can forget that she is also clever...a bit of racist way to explain that people who look different than the standard white intelligent person can be intelligent too

No you’re spot on. Her implying that beneath all of Cameroon, Bebe is “actually very intelligent”. That’s a microagression, implying that black people cant be smart.
