Shane Lowry birdied the last four holes on Friday to make the cut at the 2022 Horizon Irish Open

The DP World Tour lands on Irish shores for the first time this season for the 2022 Horizon Irish Open. Home favourite Shane Lowry will be looking to record his first win since claiming The Open Championship in 2019 and comes into the event in great form, having only missed one cut in his past 14 appearances. The Irishman will be joined by Ryder Cup teammate and World No. 27, Tyrrell Hatton, whose last win on the DP World Tour came at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in January 2021. The Horizon Irish Open will also see Alex Fitzpatrick, younger brother of 2022 U.S. Open champion Matt make his much anticipated professional debut at Mount Juliet Estate. Other notable names to keep an eye on include three-time major winner Padraig Harrington, Ryan Fox and Thomas Pieters who narrowly missed out to Haotong Li in a dramatic play-off at last weekend’s BMW International Open.

We followed them on those holes, then my 11yo son get a signed ball from Tyrrell and a signed hat from Tyrrell, Shane and Seamus... delighted!

Wow. Just watched the third and FINAL round of the LIV Portland event. This was so much more exciting than watching a multi-millionaire win a bunch more cash. It was just to make the cut but this actually *meant* something. Awesome.

Too late. LIV is here. The golf world is changed forever. Another positive for LIV is that it’s all free to air coverage. None of this pay to view BS which prevents the kids from tuning in. Go Greg and go LIV 💪🏻

There's always fear because there's always more money to win. Look at football. You didn't/don't see Christiano Ronaldo or Messi getting lazy just because they get paid ridiculous amounts of money.

@@kx454 - Until the Saudis discover that they don't actually have a passion for the game of golf after all and pull the funds. Then the players will come crawling back looking and hoping to join the PGA Tour or DP Tour again. They won't need the money by then, but they'll be starved of competitive golf.
This gives me more joy than any LIV multi million victory will ever do. Gotta love Shane💪🏼
