It became a trademark but she didn't always speak that way in movies and her real voice though still soft was much more interesting .

Monroe was amazing. She had an innate inner glow, great comic timing, and understood that many men want nothing more than a hot female with a tiny brain. She parodied and played that for all it was worth. People have copied her ever since, because as this skit implies, it is still what many, many men find appealing.

One of the funniest and talented woman around.

She acts and sounds perfectly like Marilyn Monroe. Some physical alterations (prosthetic, of course) and she can be a perfect actress to play Marilyn. Wow.

She is to tall Monroe was short and very overjoyed

I'm laughing so hard there's no sound and I can't breathe

Every time I am down or my kid is sad this shana skit is gurenteed to make us laugh

I don't get tired of watching Kirsten over and over again! She's the best! :)

This is the only SNL sketch that made me laugh so hard I legit almost peed. 🤣

Kristen Wiig makes me laugh more than any other cast member since like Will Ferrell. She's brilliant.
