"I detangled this morning, and it took me an *hour and 15 minutes*" I felt that in my soul. FINALLY somebody with the same density as me.
It’s a blessing to have hair this thick!!!

I agree completely! I hated my thick 4 c hair growing up. I was the only one in my family with hair like mine, so I didn't know any better. Now that I'm older I am thankful for my thick hair!

The density of my hair is exactly like this. I didn't like going to hairdressers because - even though they were black women - they would try to comb through my hair like it was straight hair.😫. This type hair takes time. No wash-n-goes here. More like wash-n-go sit-down-and-comb-through-that-hair-with-leave-in-conditioner-then-cork-screw-it-stop-and-get-a-snack-then-take-out-those-cork-screws-one-by-one-and-blow-dry-each-section-of-hair-and-then-style-and-THEN-go. (Yes, I left out steps, we would be here all day, you all got a life. Just know that I typed all of the above while Crystal was combing though her client's beautiful head of hair with the conditioner in it)😎 Btw. Crystal luv how you handled your client's head👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

😂😂😂😂😂for realll....no wash&go shit in here😂😂
This is why most thick haired naturals wash their hair in sections and it helps with the detangling process.
Her hair is absolutely beautiful. My hair is 4c/4d with zig zag curl patterns I had all kinds of shade thrown at me growing up by my mom, her friends, and hair stylists I used to hate myself and hated being black I always praised white people hair because it was so straight. When I relaxed my hair and wore wigs over time I got allergic reaction to it and ended up big chopping and started going natural. I embrace my hair so much now since I saw it at one point on the floor with a stringy straight texture. My natural hair is pass my shoulders now and I promised myself I’ll never let anyone touch my hair or bully me about it again. I say if you don’t like my hair I say “did I ask you for a comb keep moving”

God doesn't make mistakes. The problem, many people always want what the others have without appreciating what they have. Thank God you finally appreciated your beautiful hair. More importantly, ignoring others opinions of your blessings.

I’m so sorry people, including family, were mean. I’m white, but had curly, dry hair w/ lots of cowlicks so it stuck out in different directions. Not even cool like a mini-Afro. My dad, who I inherited the curls from, said I looked “Like an orphan child” and my mom said my hair was “like a bird’s nest”. She even pointed out the car window to a nest “that’s what your hair looks like” because I didn’t let her comb it. It f-cking hurt to comb! Kids at school were mean. Even for picture day, as the students were lined up, the photographer’s assistant walked up to me (and only me, trust me I watched her) and handed me a little sh!tty plastic comb in front of the many kids. I hated my hair. The damage careless people can cause... if only they knew. I always felt ugly and that still impacts me into middle-age.

I appreciate you as a stylist. I have really thick hair. I Have a hard time finding a stylist that accepts my natural hair and appreciates the fact I choose them to spend my coins with. Your exceptional. Thanks for the video.
Her natural hair is thick healthy and beautiful.
The way u treat the hair is so much better than when I was growing up. My first relaxer was in the spring of 1968. It was so uncomfortable I promise I would never have it done again. I wore an afro for a long time. And I had hot comb and curling iron. You are so beautiful to your clients and sensitive to their needs. Bless you.
I absolutely love her hair texture. Im glad not everyone is ignorant to natural hair. Especially hair as thick as hers. Its beautiful and worth it.
Having thick density of hair is a problem I would love to have. Her hair is absolutely beautiful and healthy and gorgeous.
One of the most gorgeous heads of hair I've ever seen! Can't wait to see the silk press. I already know it's going to be bomb 💕
Finally! Hair like mine! As tedious as it is to do my hair I wouldn’t change it for any other hair type or curl pattern. Thank you for this video 💃🏾
I have thick hair like this. The key is to do everything in the shower while the hair is soaking wet. I find it is easier to shampoo and detangle in the shower when hair is completely drenched. Wash hair in small sections in a downward motion. When applying deep conditioner, apply in small sections while the hair is soaking wet. Finger detangle while applying deep conditioner. 2 strand twist each completed section. When completed, put a plastic cap and a heated conditioning cap for 30 minutes. Or sit under a hooded dryer with the plastic cap for 30 minutes or a steamer. My detangle time is now 30-45 minutes. The key is to deep condition hair every week. By doing this, hair will be much softer, manageable and easier to detangle. Detangle time will be less because the condition of the hair is more moisturized. I've been to many hair salons and most don't know how to do thick hair. Detangling on dry hair or slightly damp hair is the worse thing for thick hair.
She has awesome hair. 😍
She is a wonderful teacher, you can tell that she loves working with hair so patient. Love Love Love.

You are such a great beautician. My granddaughters hair is thick like that. God bless you and your hands for the work that you do.
My daughter and I have thick hair like that. And what I do is take baking soda and put in our shampoo. It really clarifies the curl pattern , and cleans in well.

Whew this is my hair 4c z Happy to see you doing this type of hair Her hair is beautiful ♥️
My hair is similar to this, you have to make sure to get all those "dry spots" during shampoo or else when you are done you will end up with a "grease spot". LOTS OF LOVE FROM JAMAICA.
OMG HER HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL..IM A AFRO GIRL ALSO❤❤❤ I'm sure the results are AMAZING!!!
I just love the comments. We are finally appreciating our hair Queens. I include myself in this because I must admit, it's taken me some time to really appreciate our coils and texture. I have that feeling that Jill Scott had in Tyler Perry's movie, "Why did I Get Married" when she in the bathroom/dressing room talking to the ladies and she said, "and it feels so good!" Those tears were mixed with a long awaited feeling of pure joy. That's where I am.......😊
My daughter has this exact same hair texture….4C to the 10th power! Thank you for showing me how to properly detoxify and clarify the scalp prior to the actual wash! Btw, your client’s hair came out so beautifully….great work!!
I will definitely be saving this and watching it in my down time. This my daughter’s hair. Without knowledge and especially patience... I feel like I am damaging it. Thanks for doing this type of hair.
She, is one of my favorite hair stylist she does an amazing job no matter what style it is.😊
Beautiful head of thick hair
My mother in law and her sister were old school beauticians in Chicago. I remember they told me your clients hair was their favorite. Styles beautifully. Looking forward to your technique. Client is blessed to have so much hair.
Her hair is so thick and beautiful looks so healthy 💛💛😊
I'm so happy for this lady, such a beautiful head of hair :'D

Her Crown is beautiful!!
My 7 year old has hair like this ! So so thick and so much like hers. And just shrinks up like that when wet or not combed out. I detangle his hair in sections with water and avocado oil first and put it in big twists, before washing his hair. So much easier and a lot less shedding.
Her hair is stunning, look at that mane!
The picture of her hair got me here, the best hair.

The most Time consuming hair..can stress ya out too sometimes.
yes I like for my scalp and hair to have shampoo not just my scalp. also people have to remember to rinse very good before adding shampoo. there's a lot of surface level oils and dirt that can be rinsed out before adding shampoo that will give you a longer lifespan of your shampoo because you will be able to use less
That’s my hair, finally someone with my hair type
You’re such a great hair educator! And I absolutely love our natural hair! It is so beautiful!
Yor client and her hair are gorgeous! Beautiful video, I actually learned a lot of new things I will be implementing in my routine! Thank you so very much!

Crystal very good working with clients hair .When she finish all the steps u just mention all good and so on point the sista not going to believe that's her hair.U know the process involved for detangling thick hair.I know that fora fact myself.Ihave thick hair oh boy when u go to get ur hair style they want to slap a quick fix chemical relaxer.I say no I don't want that not interested in putting that big C word in my hair they gets an attitude .Thank u Crystal another gifted hand beautican ,stylist Thanks for sharing ur knowledge on how to detangle our hair. Bless all❤
They have it for hair as well. I found it at a discount store for the first time, and was amazed and exited. It's hard to find though it's on professional strenght, but it doesnt say to dilute with water. I love using it... Her hair is awesome❤
I love thick hairrrrr. When you shampoo it it bubbles up so much it looks beautiful
Damn I can't wait until my hair grows like this. Her hair is the truth!!
Thanks for this video! This will help me with my daughter’s thick hair.
I hope there’s a part 2
(1) Yes a little ELT goes a long way... this is exactly how my daughters hair looks she’s been natural about two years now....Excited about the Silk press!
Give me that thick hair! It's beautiful.
I have never seen such beautiful thick hair in a while. So beautiful.
If I only had half the thickness of her hair!!! My hair is very fine and curly and I never liked it when I was a kid because I’m very tender headed. It was so long and tangled quickly and it was torture getting my hair washed. Now at 61 I’ve learned to appreciate it especially on those days when I just wash and go
Very thorough and very informative! Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate and explain things!
I so enjoyed watching you and listening to your process - thank you!!! Great job!!
Her hair is absolutely gorgeous
