Yes. There was some kind of training minigame in story mode which I was never able to get right because the instructions were all in Japanese.

I remember playing this game when i was a kid not knowing any japanese and going through that quiz in the middle of it..

holy crap this game looks amazing. love that they did that kind of 3d on the spirits but kept a nice crisp pixel art on the shamans. wish this was in english and I could have played it as a kid

My first introduction to Shaman King was in 2005 when I owned Power of Spirit. For the longest time I thought Jun turned into Lee Pai Long until I found the anime in 2009 (later the manga; but besides the point) ... Kind of wish I played this one first, 'cause then I wouldn't feel stupid & would've seen them as 2 separate entities in the same screen.

Just land a hit with your special moves (square) You get some pretty cool cutscenes to go with it

how i can run this game properly? I use epsx 1.7.0 and always stack black screen after battle

I'd recommend using a different emulator called "Mednafen". It does PS1 emulation much better the ePSXe ever did.

Lol 3 years to late, I am guessing you figure it out by now 😂, but if not, download retroarch, inside retroarch download duckstation core, that one is magic for ps1 games, tons of option you can tweak and make games look better than in the original hardware, you might also need to download the psx bios files and put them on the retroarch system folder, there are other ps1 cores you can try in retroarch one is pcsxrearm or something like that, there are like 4 cores you can try that work for ps1 iso/bin/cue files

@@user-fi9iq7nj8l 確か葉だけで3キャラいましたよね。 憑依合体、初期オーバーソウル、盾が大きくなったオーバーソウルと。ただストーリー進め切った後でも憑依合体の葉で遊べたなあって。多分笑。

He’s the referee past the prelims in the manga. He got cut out in the 2000s anime adaptation
