I think if I had seen this I would've freaked out. This animatronic is so impressive, but it's also massive and lowkey kinda scary. So to see it just slump like that is pretty terrifying.

Maybe she was just taking a nap.

They do this so that the animatronic doesn’t get damaged. The system detected an issue in the arm, which shut down the whole thing. There is no way Disney is going to ruin a 10 million dollar animatronic.

Personally, I feel like the 144p quality adds to the experience. I wonder what her face must have looked like during this, were her eyes closed or open? Both possibilities seem equally creepy.... Anyways, this was terrifying. Seeing her go from fluid-like like movements to her arms slumping and her head doing an unnatural tilt was unnerving, like something straight out of a horror movie. The only thing that would have made this worse would be the lights completely shutting off...

I think her system detected something slightly wrong which caused her to shut down completely. You can hear the pressure leave her body in a second. It's terrifying

The "feedback system" that drives all the charters motion reaction elements contians a routine that halts all motion if it detects that something is jammed or out of position so that it does not cause more damage. remember the charter performes 16 hours a day just about evey day of the year.. it just halts , and they fix the issue.. there is a plan "B" in place where they can temporary quickly swap her out with a backup projection rig. some people have seen it...

3:32 if you have your volume halfway up you can hear an aircompresser sound when she shuts down if you probably have headphones on

why would they power her down in the middle of the ride? Most of the time don't they close the ride beforehand if an animatronic needs maintenance?

@@wiltedwillows5292 the system that runs her detected a problem with the mechanism and shut the animatronic down to prevent damage. if she kept running, a 10 million dollar animatronic could’ve been ruined. they do close the rides for maintenance, but this was something they couldn’t foresee.
