Sham Wow IN PERSON
Комедия
UPDATE
Holy Sh*t almost 20,000 views thanks to everyone that watched this video!
I was at the Rhode Island Convention Center going to the Northeast Int. Auto show when I found this stand selling Sham Wow's and me, with my camera in hand, recorded it. Theres some douchey kid sitting next to me when i taped this, so whenever he yelled out, it was clearly heard on this. O well.

My dad was a salesman for years and you should have hears the amount of BS he would spew to get someone to buy from him. He sold boxes of steak for a while, for example. He would buy them for $90, make a fake invoice showing that they were $250 wholesale, say he normally sold them for $325 but needed to offload them and would pocket the difference. He'd even let them "haggle" him down to $175, saying he was willing to "take the loss" so he didn't have to pay a nonexistent restock fee. He could sell 10 or so a day and make a tidy profit.

in 2023 this product is still being sold!! that's proof enough for me!!! I want some!!
All it really takes to be a great salesperson is sincerity. The benefit of in-person demos is people see the product doing what the salesperson is claiming so, it's easier for the customer to feel the sincerity. It's still a pitch, but it's an honest pitch and the customer doesn't feel like they are being taken for a ride/fooled.

i mean it doesn't feel sincere at all to me. just feels like he rehearsed some script to sell a product that no one really needs.

You'll be a terrible salesman if you're going to rely on sincerity. Try to make a living doing that selling new cars and let us know how soon you get fired because nobody buys from you. If you dont have the guts to ask for the sale you'll never get it. The customer will say "Oh I gotta think about it" and then you'll hear he bought from a the other dealer in town a few days later. People need (and want) to be pushed when making large purchases.

@@FrankBullitt390 I've sold everything from furniture, to freight loads, to used cars, I am well versed in the language of people and have had no trouble in over 20 years of sales. You can be sincere and push for the sale, just can't afford to be a dishonest pos.

True story: I studied this guy's face to face sales technique 14 years ago when this video was posted. Interviewed for my first sales job and was hired shortly after. Fast forward to 2023 and I have my own successful sales business selling advertising supplies to businesses all over the US thanks to this Sham Wow video.
There is something so special about a pitchman who is good at his job. I'm not sure how to describe it, but there is something almost magical about listening to them describe a product.

jan klaasen sales is about conversation. Rejection hurts only when it means something negative to you. Sales is actually quite nice when you believe in the product or service, know how to handle rejection and sincerely want to help your customer.

This is pretty incredible quality for such an old youtube upload. Even if the camera was decent back then, usually youtube wrecks the upload with compression somewhere along the line. Can't find many youtube videos from longer than 10~ years ago as clear and crisp as this.
I remember in the early 2010’s for Christmas one year. My little brother who was only perhaps 9 or 10 wanted a fushigi and a sham-wow. For some reason he was just so exstatic of the shame wow and I still remember it to this day 😂
