I got to say that I like the way BabyFace remade Shalamar song This is for the lover in you.

Boy this is so needed.....To see the classic Shalamar lineup just does the heart so well. I know its been 11 years but I don't care. Thanks for posting! I noticed she never looked toward Howard's way. They suffer from the same thing Lionel Richie and the Commodores are suffering from. The one time they all got together was during Milan's (keyboard player) funeral. The Temptations were able to do it with the Rock and Roll Induction Hall of Fame and even then Paul Williams had been dead for over a decade. New Edition got it right with all original members touring. Hopefully Shalamar can get it right before time runs out. If they can put stuff aside for Face...maybe then can put stuff aside for the fans. Dick Griffey's daughter is the replacement now for Jody but the fans REALLY would like to see the lineup of Howard, Jodi and Jeffrey. Hell can you make it happen "The Second Time Around"? Guys "work it out" and "Make that move".

@@timothybrown1867, the "Jody wouldn't film the video with them" story is a LIE concocted by Howard and Jeffrey and used by TV One and Unsung Producers to promote Howard's Unsung episode. Truth is, Jody was flying in from concerts in Japan, video Director Hype Williams decided it made sense to film Jody's scene on green screen. It was simply about scheduling. In the end, they ALL were filmed on green screen.

Jody looks flawless. Like always she is serving supermodel looks and exquisite style. One of the most underrated stars of any decade. The first to do many things: Fashion and rap collaborations , first to Vogue and Waack, first to work with future film directors, first to wear Gaultier, Westwood and Miyake in the late 70ies (next to Grace Jones). First to work with S. Meisel and F. Nars....She is a bonafide fashion icon. A Babyface and Jody album would have been a future classic on so many levels. Too bad it never happened. I always wished she was asked to work on the god damn "Waiting To Exhale" Soundtrack. This could have recharged her public appeal... I can only imagine the jams face & Jody could write and record together.. I still hope and pray.

Excellent collaboration but who TF produced this, it's more like Babyface feat. Shalamar? As a producer I would have given Howard Hewitt the second verse as he's a far better vocalist than Babyface, and would have been great to hear his interpratation of this new version. Talk about Babyface misusing his star power, having his cake and eating it.
