Shakira Says Gerard Piqué 'Betrayed' Her While Her Dad Was in the ICU

Shakira isn't holding back details about the end of her relationship with ex Gerard Piqué. The Colombian singer tells 'People en Español' that her father was visiting her in Barcelona amid the split when he was 'gravely injured' in an accident. Shakira says, 'Everything happened at once. My home was falling apart. I was finding out through the press that I had been betrayed while my dad was in the ICU.' She and Gerard announced their separation in June of last year. Shakira allegedly discovered he cheated on her with the woman he is now dating, Clara Chía.

Shame on Gerard for leaving your family for another woman.. On the bright side, at least separation is better than being murdered. Lol.. I can see that Gerard is that type of guy that we watch in crime stories who murders his own family to start all over again with another woman.. He gives me that vibe for some reason.. I’m glad Shakira didn’t marry him & she is still with us & is doing fine without him.

Not surprised. He hit her when she was at her lowest. Instead of being open and honest with her, he was cheating on her behind her back. In my opinion, she is better off without him. They are coparenting. You don’t know the full story better not to be too emotional. Shakira might be great as you say but being in a relationship with someone is very different than being a fan of someone.

My dad died in 2016. I was so devastated my Dr put me on antidepressants, Xanax and Ambien. So when I was knocked out at night he took it upon himself to leave me and meet random people on the internet to have sex. I was so shocked he could do that to me at such a vulnerable, low time in my life. Now, nothing anyone does shocks me anymore.
