Shakespeare’s Sister … the unknown super group …
Please release this concert on CD and DVD!
Siobhan's deep & sultry voice combined with Marcella's angelic yet soulful pipes are a match made in Heaven ♥️♥️
Shaking that tambourine like a Boss! love this band :)
I saw this performance live back in 1988 in Leningrad. Ray Cooper, Dave Stewart, Boris Grebenschikov
This was mere months after she'd left Bananarama. You can see the glee and freedom at starting this new era. Awesome start..imho
Siobhan looks foxy in this one. I love this version of the song. They should have released this whole concert on video.
The best version of Heroine!!! Amazing song!!! One of Siobhan's all time greats!! She is our Heroine!! hahaha xxx
Both of their voices are just insane!
That's a super performance....the sound of the band with extra musicians, bv, Dave on guitar is HUGE...Marcy sounds like Aretha Franklin @ times and like a wicked soprano from Mars @ other moments...Siobhan is in Siouxsie mode....by this performance one can understand they were/are a dangerous ly amazing band

Aretha Franklin? Heehee I can't stand her singing voice but your right she definitely hits those notes, by the way did you know she has a 9 octiv voice ? Most of us are lucky to have 2 .
Not only is this an amazing version of the song but the video editing is perfect!!
Shakespeare's Sisters - it's Glitz , it's chic and it's the highest standard . You're great .
What a song what a name for a song
*@SHAKESPEARS SISTER* Hello! Old fan from the states. When I was a teen, I would have someone put a VHS tape into the VCR and record 120 Minutes for me. This track--as well as the video, I absolutely loved! I also like how with the lyrics, the writer employed the 'dope poetry' technique (No pun). The mirrored glass shards on your L-jacket. I too did that once - with a Mirrorball that fell apart: I never knew the little square mirrors were actually glued onto 'canvas' type material. [Made great for my then, 'vampire flip-collar']. Lastly. As a DJ - from time-to-time, still. I don't know why older punks would always give me flack for playing this tune? It is a great song with an intense sense of speed. That would be my only regret about this live version, is the lack of keyboards, though the solo back-up singer did a fantastic job too! (Cheers from Downtown Boston, MA US!)
So sad they hated each other all those years in between … so much music we might of had. Every song on this cd is amazing

As much as I love the studio version and the remix of this track...I must say, this is Boss AF.
Thanks for rocking our facing off! Don't know why this wasn't a huge hit. Must be because it didn't sound like Robert DeNiro's Waiting.
So. damn. good.
SO GOOD!!!

From the video you'd think the song was Hey mr Tambourine Man

in autumn 1988 i started 1st grade at six n a half... but i had a special friend that year, maybe in t summer, maybe spring , i was on a russian streak too those years,,, in first day of school i went to the kinderchemin to take flowers to my educator, a catholic hungarian and a woman there, older, who said felix now you're big you go to school/ now it's aids there i understand... so what am i writing all day about? well, it's just, i realize that in my Revelations the Trinity dialogates like Urmuz, Kafka and Harms, what can u get from a smiling musing Jesus n an Angry God Cloud?... and that's the line of my - whatever: Oh, -Yea) Look there/ It's like my God is Absurd not Hallowed, n i mean God, Mann/ Good song though, funny, good or Kids/
I REMEMBER THOSE WHITE STARS. THOUGH FROMM 88 I STARTET 1ST CLASS PRIMARY SCHOOL.
Wierd, from this video the guy on the tambourine seems to be more important than Siobhan.
With Vlad Putin on tambourine eh?
