Shakespears Sister - Goodbye Cruel World

Музыка

Shakespears Sister "GBCW" was released as a single twice since the record company was so convinced of its success. In September of 1991 it reached # 56, and after the success of "Stay", it entered the Top 40 at # 32. The video.... it won the Best video nomination in 1992. The best video of the 90's, no doubt!!

If so many people whine about it, I think it's true. :P But we're mainly referring to the mainstream music as you know (pop, R&B, hip hop). I never heard of Five Finger Death Punch before but his vocals sound great. I listen to more extreme and underground stuff like black metal, death, goth, and doom. But it was a nice listen. \m/

When Shakespears sister got things right they really got it right. This is pop at it's best. Fantastic video as well. Shame Siobahn's ego & jealousy got in the way of this duo achieving what they were capable of.

+Stephen Silva Neither Siobhan or Marcella has ever gone into detail. There were tensions between them and other people around them may have contributed to that. I believe Siobhan was having substance abuse problems as well as emotional issues during that time so she wasn't in a good place which is sad since they made such a fantastic album, and her and Marcella were great together, creatively at least.
