    When I chose this sonnet for ny paper many years ago in English Department UNS, my lecturer said" It is too easy for you but I love it very and I gave it as material for my Students in Poetry Class.

    Third quatrain, after first line, is hardest to remember in my opinion (I'm just memorising for fun, to own and possess my patrimony as an Englishman, not for a course - though I wish I had actually done it 20 years ago when I was supposed to! You youngsters warm the heart. Good on you) Edit: btw, even if you are not British or are just starting to learn English as a second language, this is your patrimony too, if you want it to be).

    The iambic rhythm is not quite right. The stress falls on the second syllable in each line, so that the beat is: da-DUM da-DUM (where "DUM" has the emphasis). So, in the second line, it should run "Rough WINDS do SHAKE..." And in the third line: "Thou ART more LOVEly..." Also in the 5th line: "SomeTIME too HOT...."
