What’s happening in this Shakespeare in Love movie clip?
Viola (Gwyneth Paltrow) is summoned by Queen Elizabeth I (Judi Dench). During their exchange, she tells the Queen that she believes in the power of a play to capture the true nature of love.
Wessex (Colin Firth) and Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) place a bet on that and The Queen, amused by the situation, says she’ll be the judge of that.

What’s the movie Shakespeare in Love about?
Young Will Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) is the up and coming playwright of the time, but has been disastrously struck by the bane of the writer's life - writer's block. His comedy "Romeo and Ethel, the Pirate's Daughter" isn't going anywhere and the playhouse is under threat of closure. What Will needs is a muse, and she appears in the form of the beautiful and betrothed Lady Viola (Gwyneth Paltrow). The path of true love does not run smoothly for Will, but the joys and tragedy of his own life find their way onto the page in a moving, witty and spellbinding tale.

I love that the Queen knew Shakespeare was there the whole time but said nothing because she was curious to how this would all play out. Sharp as a dagger she was.

Dench and Blanchett are the BEST modern era actresses I've seen portraying Elizabeth I. They make me believe that they are the younger and older versions of the same person. BRILLIANCE!

@@timdacey4520 Blue Beard Baboon is a character mentioned in the episode "The Curse of Kongo Bongo" of the Donkey Kong Country animated series. He's responsible for the Curse of the Double Doubloon that plagues Kongo Bongo island.

ı love Judi Dench she is a powerful actress but she definitely won in wrong moive
"They make it pretty they make it comical or they make it lust, but they cannot make it true" it makes sense of what Elizabeth I says here. Love is a joke. Also I would never want to be married to Lord Wessex he seems possessive.
