Adapted for the stage from the Academy Award-winning film, Shakespeare in Love tells of a young Shakespeare who is facing writer’s block and is short on cash and inspiration. To his rescue comes Viola, whom he quickly falls in love with and who inspires him to write his most famous love story, Romeo and Juliet.
The Festival has been selected as one of only three theatres to present the first United States productions of this passionate and fun celebration of the Bard and theatre.
