The New Orleans Jazz Museum and Jazz Foundation of America present ensemble performance featuring Shake ‘em Up Jazz Band on Wednesday, March 23 at 2:00 PM CST.
Welcome Back! This program takes place inside our third floor Performance Center, listening room. Admission is free and open to the public, seating is limited and offered first come, first serve.

The level of musicianship is always super high with this group. They project their personalities through their instruments so well it's really a joy to experience this type of playing. Very rare in today's pop climate. They shake me up every time! Can't get enough! :-)

a totally captivating performance
Missing Chloe's spectacular clarinet. But at least we get to hear more solos by the wonderful Molly. I like her style, vocally and especially as the only harmonic instrument in the group.
Attended this very show and saw the band for the 1st time at a friend's recommendation. Loved it! Great musicians keeping some great music alive.

I’m a huge fan having followed them from the very beginning and not seeing or hearing them for a while I was starting to think that they had become another pandemic casualty, anyway great to see the ladies again you have brightened up my day. Sound quality is excellent but the stage lighting is so subdued and can hardly see the lovely Julie. This is the second concert performance without Chloe, is this a coincidence or is there something we are not being told? I do miss the clarinet and Chloe in particular.

I’ve never seen them play in the last year with Chloe. I think she is often playing with other groups.

Like Erika Lewis of Tuba Skinny, Chloe no longer lives in New Orleans but they do turn up occasionally at festivals and concerts. The ladies were reunited with Chloe for the 2022 & 23 Umbria Jazz Festival and also at the 2023 FQF, such joy. Unlike Tuba Skinny they have never had a stand-in for Chloe but still have a lot of fun and play some great music. With Chloe of course, they have the advantage of three excellent vocalists.
