    The most insane thing about Shai's stats is his FG % . He's shooting 56% . Usually only centers shoot that efficiently. Guards and wings rarely ever approach that. Kobe for example never came anywhere NEAR that at all. This is such a huge part of why they are winning and to me makes him the clear MVP.

  • @Young_Dab

    @Young_Dab

    5 ай бұрын

    SGA is an efficient player who plays to win. Most of his shots come from midrange and inside the paint, the closer you are to the rim the higher chances of scoring success. Kobe challenged himself to take tough shots from all over the floor and in different ways his Mamba mentality made him shoot over defenses every shot Kobe took he believed it was going in. This isn't to downplay SGA, just stating the differences between shot selections between SGA & Kobe.

    @@IcebloodR11 People say the same thing with different people every year. People like Prime Dame or Prime Tatum, etc… Both were averaging high numbers as All-around players, yet they didn’t win mvp. With this logic you have, Prime Harden was the greatest basketball player of all time. How come nobody is calling him that? Call me crazy but just cause MJ was the league’s first generational GOAT, doesn’t mean he’s the God-level standard of play anymore especially in this NBA. Jordan played in an Era where free throws were earned and not given. Just this game alone, 11 of Shai’s pts came from 12 free throw attempts. He also went 0-4 from 3. He’s literally pulling tricks out of Embiid’s playbook to average this high of a number, and yet his 3pt percentage is worse than Embiid’s and Jokic’s. He plays like Prime Tatum without a 3 pt shot. All-around player, but not enough to crack the #1 spot. He will be a Runner-up at best. So when you talk about Jordan, just remember he didn’t need to shoot 8-10+ free throws a game to keep up his Pts average. Shai would be averaging 23-27 pts in Jordan’s Era so don’t even try to compare. Look at Shai’s past games and factor out his free throws. He would look no different than Desmond Bane, Derrick White, or current-day Kyrie with that average.

He's consistently been one of the clutchest players in the entire nba for the last couple seasons. He's also a much better player now than he was 3 or 4 years ago. @AntoniaGabrillo-xe2lx Yes they are different. Fiba/Olympics actually has more pressure when you are on a non US team and playing for your country. Besides that though, he's had multiple playoff games with great #s as a 21 yr old... he even hit a game winner in the bubble. He's now a 25 yr old Alll NBA player who might be the mvp of the league. Tell me how many of those in history have then been terrible in the playoffs lol? Would you really bet your money on the probability of him not being the same player in a playoff series? I don't see the logic. Only argument thrown around is they haven't seen this version of sga do it yet, which is quite obviously because he hasn't had the opportunity yet. The thing about him not being able to playmake enough out of a double team is also ridic to me, as he gets double teamed every single game already and these are the #s he produces.

    😂 Surely you are being sarcastic or you don’t watch Thunder basketball. We had 5 players in double digit scoring (almost 6). He’s far from a ball hog!

    It does seem that way when you watch his highlights but when your making 56% of your shot attempts then you can't complain about him being a ball hog. Plus he doesn't pass just for the sake of getting his assists numbers up like Westbrook or Harden.
