Shahrdad Rohani(Persian: شهرداد روحانی) is an Iranian composer, violinist/pianist, and conductor.
His style is contemporary (sometimes even New Age), especially when compared with his mentors/inspirations, Anoushiravan Rohani and Javad Maroufi. He is probably most known for arranging and conducting the Yanni Live at the Acropolis concert, an open-air concert with the London Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in the Parthenon, Athens, Greece. This concert was acclaimed by both critics and audience and became the most widely viewed program ever shown on Public Television in United States and is the second best-selling music video of all time.

What makes Shahrdad Rohani , great Iranian maestro so special and notable is in fact his personality and nobility that I think far over weighs his music expertise , that I'm sure is on the highest levels in the world.

I used to watch this with my kids every time PBS had a fund drive. The lady in red plays one of the hottest violins I've ever heard. thanks for sharing this!

wow both of violinists are awesome, one of them is Shahrdad but the name of the lady, I have no idea!?

@AliGMable Are you talking about Mohammad Reza Mortazavi or Shahrdad Rohani? I think Shahrdad Rohani wanted to work alone but M.R. Mortazavi might work with Yanni, also his brother Alireza Mortazavi is a great Santour player.
what does that mean? would you explain a little bit?
