They could’ve given him an authentic fighting style like Silat, instead they have him a generic fighting style that makes no sense. I don’t like the direction the martial arts has gone in the Tekken series.

His fighting style is supposed to be based on CQC or Close Quarters Combat, obviously modified to be more fluid and exciting. It makes sense for his character as Shaheen is stated to be a mercenary.

he seems to have a very short movelist

It's not a real fighting style, is it? Could've had him use Janna, the fighting style of the Hashshashin Order, but I don't know if _anyone_ practices that nowadays.
