Shah Bano needed maintainans for herself not for her five children because in 1975 her children would be settled as they all were possibly in ages 30 to 40 years. So the speaker shouldn't be using this term. At the same time it was good and right verdict given

First thing when you marry you have to give a good amount as meher.2nd things The divorce is not valid 3time one time. 3 difference time you have to choose according to quran suraha al bakhara.3 you can't ask meher back.4 .the person who's children with wife he have to give maintains every month. Above all Islam teaching humanity. The ex wife don't have any income the ex husband have to help with financially. In quran not written any were not take help from ex husband.

That, judgement was overturned by an Act of Parliament. Later, Shah Bano, now dead, refused to take that money because of the controversy surrounding the case. Despite the Act, muslim men are now made to pay alimony if claimed. The difference in perception is because in muslim law, marriage is a contract.

As per Islamic law a husband is bound to support his wife after divorce , if she does not get married again, and as far as children are concerned it is his responsibility to support them in any case.

Plz refer the source again brother, husband is liable to support only upto Iddat period, once iddat is over both will b separated and husband will not pay any amount to the wife. As far as children are concerned, it's duty of father to do all expenses, mother is not responsible to spend on them.

Aise husbands koi kasar nahi chhodte wife aur baccho ki zindagi barbaad karne mein. Aur aise cases bahut normal hai desh mein. Thank God supreme court ne maintenance ya alimony ko leke aacha judgement diya. Ab saari wives ko kuch to protection mil gyi. Thanks our supreme court 👏❤️

Supreme Court ne to judgement de diya wife ke paksh mein, par uske baad jo politicians aur doosre logon ne, jinko ki is judgement se takleef ho rahi thi - jo Shahbano ke aur unke jaisi women ke khilaf kiya, wo bhi pata karna zaroori hai.
