ben normally i would say your relationship your bisness but your bisness is youtube and we are invited....there will be the usual crosssection of comments from ignorant to informed and all points in between .although you havent succeeded in this relationship you have gained knowledge, the question is how you choose to apply it. perhaps find a travel companion first then see if a relationship is possible is a better plan of attack than seeking a companion as a travel partner. thanks for the videos

Dude has stop with the drama, I said that years ago. No one is watching and cares. Get off that island, find you a street woman, start driving this kombi bus and put your editing skills to use. Keep your drama for yourself and bring back the adventure, the dreams, the break downs, the rebuilds, the crazy random showers, the unknown, the strangers sleepover and you will see everyone will come back and cheer you up. Cheers and don't go to bed before you get home.

Not gonna lie. I like the content of this dude traveling solo more than when he had a girlfriend. There were more adventure, carelessness, undomesticated freedom that can only be in a guy without responsibility. The south america travel was the best in that sense

He is still human being, wired to find a long meaningful connection. I travelled the world solo with my tent for 7 years, found a country I like and as much as I enjoyed my solo adventure, the freedom and the joy, I too started craving someone to share sunsets with. And I don't know if @kombilife would agree, but finding a partner when you've experienced the ultimate freedom is way harder. I often come across men who compare their life with mine - so I mostly don't talk about my adventures as it scares too many men away. Hardcore travellers also have a very different perspective of life and from my experience I can say that my conversations with my travelling friends are very different to the ones that I have with my other friends. Travelers are a bit more minimalistic and true adventurers find their kick in challenges. Like: having to reheat a hot water bottle after every 2 hours, because it's -10 degrees in the tent in Alaska, or having to dig a hole to poop, or waking up from Hippos in the middle of the night. I was bitten by a dog in Nicaragua, had food poisoning a hand full of times, was robbed in Ruanda and still, nothing could stop me from travelling. You are either the type of person for this lifestyle or you aren't. All the best to @kombilife to find true love! I also truly believe that I will find the lid to my pot. Someone who isn't intimidated by a woman who has experienced life 😂.

I hit a point in trucklife when I wanted to go home and, just saying, there was a lot of rain. He was very sweet and made me bacon wrapped scallops on the tailgate, in the rain. That was 44 years ago, we did get married and ultimately it didn't work out, but since then I VW vanlifed with my daughters every summer and now I'm on my own with a Jetta Wagon, carcamping. Being dry, warm and comfortable has everything to do with it, and maybe a fridge.

I subscribe to “you meet someone for a reason or a season”. It’s usually years later that you realise how each has enriched your lives. Good on Faith for giving it a crack and good on you for continuing to allow us all to vicariously experience it all.

Sometimes we love the idea of being a nomad and traveling all the time and living our lives full of adventures, but when we face the realities is way different from what we thought we would like to do. It is not bad, or wrong. It doesn't even have to do with the person we are traveling with. It is simply trying a new road, sometimes we hit another road and we continue our route, and sometimes we just hit a dead end. You both tried, and it didn't work. Nothing to blame, nothing to feel bad about. It is simply life. There are people that will walk with us for a short time and others for a lifetime, but they all make our lives richer and teach us something along the way. Keep sharing your adventures we enjoy so much!

I am a lover of dogs and vintage VWs myself and love to travel in my Vanagon and if a woman has problems with those things find she’s probably not the right one for me. I love Kombi Life , I have been folowing the channel for like 7 or 8 years and it helped me during moments of some sadness . One thing that I believe is playing this game on extra hard is the Kombi , is too old , to prone to break , if you add this to bad climate, is not the same to break in Brazil than to break in Ireland , you add extra problems , a relationship has issues, if you add motor issues and cold related ones, well. Also most people, not all, cant take discomfort for such a long Time . People likes routine . This has way too many variables that are double edge .

In the future, perhaps part time the Kombi with living in a fixed place perhaps, worked during lockdown, or perhaps just feature them less in the videos. Better to be honest about these things, I never thought the chemistry was right from the start. Also didn’t think she had that wild side that you need to spend long periods in a small van, she always seemed more of a conventional kind of girl. Not a judgement at all, we are who we are, but you won’t last long on the road unless it’s really in your bones.

Time for another Has at Alaska series. Love your content in general, but that series seemed to bring more fun, more culture and def more people. Those people contributed uniquely, in their own unique way which brought something new to each episode.

Not many ladies can live permanently without a proper toilet. An RV may be preferable...

Well if you ever decide to renovate again, you could consider creating a pop up. I know there are issues with setting up but you can use more of the full width above. Then you could also reconfigure the lower half to include a toilet of some sort.

Your hair looks tossed & relaxed. Your humor seems upbeat. I hope you find a woman who is as much of an adventure seeker & nomad as you. Faith was a very beautiful young lady; but, she appeared to have reservations from the get go - not so much about you - but, van life. (or so it appeared to me) It's not a lifestyle for everyone; but, when it is - it must be crazy fun! We're all with you to see where your next road of adventure and life leads!

Some of those comments are really quite horrible. An extreme lifestyle isn't for everyone, but it is for some people, and you'll find the right person in time :) I'm glad all my break-ups aren't on KZread, that must be tough and vulnerable.

I wonder if some of the critical people watching approach KZread content the same as scripted television programs. KZread vloggers are showing their personal lives, and comments should be filtered through the realization that we, the viewers, have a drastically simplified version of the creators' experience. Relationships are complicated, new ones even moreso, new ones in vanlife whilst filming personal elements face Herculean challenges. Agreed with you, Ben, about having to address some things and keep other things personal; yet another skill KZreadrs learn under fire, eh? I am touched and honored to be included with the comments you found supportive. As always, looking forward to a story for next time. 😎👍

Honestly, I think a bigger van would make it easier to find a life partner to share the journey with. You aren’t young anymore and women your own age are more likely to have their own home. They know what they’re giving up. It’s hard to make something that small feel like home. It’s harder on your body, sleep, diet and skin, even more hard when you’re on camera to not look your best. A bigger van is totally doable for many women full time but I don’t know a lot of van life couples with vans as small as yours. Best of luck though, I have been a long time viewer and wish you all the best.

Don’t listen to trolls!!! While I don’t like when your relationships end, I’m honored that you’re strong enough to share it with us. As a huge admirer of your channel, I think not all relationships are meant to last forever and once they’ve run their course, it’s best to move on with love. You’re doing great Ben ❤. If you’re looking for forever, then she’s out there going through relationship struggles just like you ❤

Ha! I didn't previously comment because I didn't want to end up being one of those people, but wait! Who was the 4th that people are referring to? I started watching, I guess about the time you first hit California, and have gone back and watched them all, so I'm sure I'm just blanking on something simple I should know, but beyond Sharne, Leah, and Faith, who am I missing? As far as the break up, I personally still haven't gotten over Sharne, myself. Loved Leah, and can't believe it ended after her being so involved and a true partner in every way, and even went as far as an engagement. I also know how it's always tough regardless, and I feel for you brother, but how bad can this one really be, considering. If it makes you feel any better, your love life has had a much more successful track record than mine, so I have to admit, I'm starting to have less sympathy for you. It isn't an easy thing for anybody, even in simpler circumstances. That's just how it goes. What can you do about it? You'll be fine mate! It'll all work itself out. No worries. I do miss the old days of an ever changing cast of characters that you meet along the way. I was happy when you and Leah started building something for yourselves, but it might be nice to see some of that again.

Van life is pretty well done isnt it? I used to follow a handful of vanlifers, quite enjoyed them but they have all moved on to other things, starting families, businesses, building homes etc. Van life, if it continues, is definitely for 20 somethings. They're the only ones able to adapt and enjoy. LOL. Not for 40 yr oĺds
