WOW The dialogue ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE NOW I was confused AF when I first encountered Pike, wtf did he mean by "my property" and "Entering through the front door"??? Now it makes sense, these levels were just what the doctor ordered.

It also explains why he and Marco weren't wearing prison uniforms. Although the "didn't arrive through the front door" is just snide backtalk about Mike arriving through the Schism.

I always assumed Milton in the original was just being delusional in referring to part of the prison as "his" property. Of course, now we know what the dialogue was actually meant to reference.

Looking back, Milton’s line about “private property “makes a lot more sense. In the original game, him, Cruz, And Victor were all locked up in the same prison. But the dialogue was still the same.

Could have just been referring to the prison wing he had claimed. The bigger inconsistencies for me were the clothes Pike and Cruz had while in prison, the assault rifle with underslung grenade launcher in a prison (I know American prisons have well-stocked armouries but still...) and Batrachian not using his mind powers against Shadowman (or Michael if you hadn't used L'Eclipser).

@@dankirk25 I guess they didn’t want to waste time rendering all that orange. And maybe Victor‘s powers did not work on him because he’s the shadow man. Your guess is as good as mine.

I liked this level more than Marco's, even though I'm not a big fan of the last part of the caves.

So great! I remember playing this game as the kid... And all I can say that it scared me to death - HECK!, even Deadsiders at the beginning in the Deadside scared me. And the remastered version has much more grim and gloomy stuff that the original didn't have

Tonally this game is brilliant, it's beautifully paced and (for it's time) fairly well written. We need more games that blend true crime elements and supernatural/religious lore. It worked perfectly for Shadow Man. The only problem is that modern Writers are mostly terrible. I'm ever hopeful that the standard will eventually improve. The recordings Milton made are surely inspired by The Moors Murders here in England, where Ian Brady and Myra Hindley used to send audio recordings of the children they were torturing and killing to the Police.

Ah yeah, gigantic indeed! Oo No wonder it was scrapped... I wonder if making this level so big was really necessary, though. They could have short it to the grotto, for example.

Ooooh my god. I thank you so much! Thanks to your video, I could find the last cadeau in this level (this one at 46.04 where you have to jump on the other side with the river under you). Since 2 days, I explore again and again the Summer Camp, trying to explore all the place in every cornet with patience (4 times I think) and I didn't find it. I was desesparate and I was convinced that my game had a bug. So, I thought : after finishing to watch your video, I will stop to play Shadowman and renounce to try to platin the game (your video was my last chance). So, a big big thank you to you. It was a pleasure to see in your video how you take the time necessary to inspect all the corners and miss nothing. With all your additional written comments, you really made a great Job! These in depth exploration videos are so interesting that I think you should should go ahead and do the other ones that don't have new levels too like Jack, Avery, and The Lizard King.

They removed the shotgun in the church area. It's now found in Victor Batrachian's prison, and a double-barreled one at the nighttime version of Marco Cruz's scrapyard.

I hate this stage so much. Long, boring, and confusing. Thanks to your video I was able to find the portal to the engine room, the last one I needed, I had already defeated the boss, first serial killer I took out.

Agreed, love the remastered game until I found this stage. Most of it was unnecessary IMO, no real challenge.

Mike's gonna be real pissed when Milton tells him he could've just used the elevator.

Keep in mind that Deacon's file is now outdated since it also never mentions the Summercamp level because it was cut and they forgot to update it with the original file info which might be patched later. So there still remains a possibility that Milton was originally a child killer and pedophile which his mascot "Gator Bob" seems to imply which I think the final version had to water things down a bit...

@@doctorattitude2611 Well another possibility remaining that Milton didn't want to draw unwanted attention of the Satanic Panic on him so that might be the other reason why he sticked to murdering women because he might have been pragmatic that way.

The ending song sounds like the end by the doors. Apocalypse now anyone?

How to kill Milton? Each time when i stugger him, shadowman says something like he need more shadow powers. What does it means?

You need to achieve Shadow Level 7 and assemble all 3 pieces of the L'Eclipser blade. When you give them to Nettie, it will become nighttime and you can play as Shadowman in Liveside. Then, you can go after and kill Milton Pike, along with the other serial killers. When Milton kneels-down, that's when you have to kill him with the Shadowgun.

@@eyworld I found this information, maybe it will help somehow - Sawn Off Shotgun - Salvage Yard Shotgun - Gardelle Jail (I found an MP-909 submachinegun too here) Mac-10 Sub Machine gun - Summer Camp. The second Violator weapon is in the Experimentation rooms. The First Violator is in the Playrooms and needs 3 accumulators to unlock. "The Five" boss levels have the accumulators. (not required to finish the game)

@@eyworld The journal you have to look right on Jack's desk at the start of the level, or jump right on top of the desk and run on it. Sometimes, if you walk at the wrong angle it doesn't play the cutscene where Shadowman says "This should be useful".

Where do you get that Milton owned this theme park? His file says he worked as a TV repairman and nature reserve ranger (probably where he got his fascination with alligators). There's no indication that he owned the camp and it doesn't make sense that he would since he wasn't exactly rolling in dough to afford it.

You do realize that the info in Deacon's file from the retail version that's still on there is now outdated right? You have to remember that the Summercamp level was cut and it was probably mentioned in the original version of Deacon's file before it got scrapped and replaced what you see in the retail version that they still haven't updated it yet.

@@zonilo1 Instead of being snide, try and follow the argument: The claim that Milton owns the camp has no basis. Where is the video author getting it? Is there a version of Deacon's file he's read that exists somewhere (in a fan group, etc.) that hasn't been patched in yet that makes this claim, or is he just making shit up?

You're missing the point that the entire Summercamp level was cut which is why it doesn't show up in the retail version of Deacon's file where they put him in Gardelle County Jail instead due to time and it's more than likely mentioned in the original version of the file that they haven't patched yet.

I doubt you can help me, but Im playing as Shadowman here, Im at the accumulator, and he will not grab the edge. Iv flung myself at it about 20 times now. He won't grab the edge and I dont understand lol. 43:14 Edit: Fling Attempt 40something he grabbed. I got the thing. I saved and went back and tried it again just to see what happens. He won't grab it again now. There must be something weird with that ledge that you need to be exactly in the right spot or something I dunno.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me at first. Try grabing on the ledge from a diagonal jump direction.

LOOOOL now i'm on PS4 and it is impossible for me to get there, it's so far away, they patched it i think to make it harder to reach.

When the heck is this gonna be released on Xbox One?! I bought it for my PC in launch week back in April but can't get it to work. Just keeps freezing up on the first loading screen

I'm not sure when the Xbox One version is being released, but I'm predicting early December. Back in the day, the Dreamcast version of Shadowman was released late in the year, on December 1st, 1999.

I'd try using one of the the other Liveside guns or a Voodoo weapon like the Asson. They have better long range to break the lock.

I started in the temple room at 43:48 and kept going forward past that point until the 44:30 timestamp. I had to make a video cut after since I fell from the ledge I was supposed to grab, lol.

Cheated at the underwater part at 31:00. Finding Cadeaux is one thing, but you literally cheated at this part.

He just did that to demo the level in Liveside.

I was always confused, why a dead man (basically, a zombie) needs oxygen underwater, and why he runs out of it so stupidly fast (most other games allow you to stay underwater for much longer time, and even I myself can hold my breath many times longer that that - x5 or x6 probably, despite having no special training or diving experience, and being in a realy bad pisical shape... This never made any sense to me.

Does milton always spawn in the area with the auto turret? if he does than im pretty sure i soft locked my game :(

@@ShortCircuiit You can't defeat him in these areas, he'll always vanish in a green cloud (even if you don't damage him, it's just a timed thing). You can only finish him at the end of the level once you damage him enough to Trueform him, drop him to his knees, and rip the Dark Soul out of him with the shadowgun.

Milton's piston room should be the fifth one, and the combo is 153.

A Dev somewhere said they couldn't extract the skin properly so its gone for good until someone makes a mod

No wonder these levels were scrapped - they don't match the overall vibe of the game at all, and the music is so goddamn annoying (especially in this level, but the disco at the scrapyard was also very annoying and alien, comparing to the brilliant Deadside ambients of the original game that I still love so much that I return to watching walkthroughs of this game over and over and over again through all these years).

To be fair, these levels were pretty much made from scratch by the developers of the remaster based on what they felt was a plausible interpretation of the original devs' intentions. I'm sure if the original devs back in 1999 had time to finish them, they would have fit better with the rest of the game.

Yes - there's one you can find in the cave maze. I found it running around in there, couldn't tell you where exactly though

Yes, Milton's secret is in the cave maze. It's easy to get lost, and I show where it is between the 34:50 to 35:20 time stamps.
