She states you have to be clever in order to do the do by making it realistically devote to Shar in some way. Shadowheart is also a serial killer. Clerics of Shar are expected to commit at least one act of horrific violence on a weekly basis as part of their faith. Shadowheart has been a Cleric of Shar for over 30 years, do the math.

@@Lobo2019 Putting things in perspective, tell me what's gentler: lack of life by abrupt annihilation where there once was allowed to briefly exist (principles of Bhaal) or complete absence of the concept of "life" by agonizing smothering (principles of Shar)? it's a philosophical one one should ask oneself, so depending on how you see it. There's no correct nor wrong answer, of course, but one might ponder about dubious mercifulness.

My experience with the Dark Justiciar version of Shadowheart will only ever be from YT videos because I could never bring myself to do it in any of my playthroughs.

Indoctrinated into a certain life/mindset by a matriarchal figure ( Flemeth/Shar/Viconia ), but actually a huge softie on the inside.@@FatSultan Leliana wasn't brain washed or anything, she was legitimately trying to get a fresh start as a good, innocent, faithful person. But that's not who she is. It was a mask of her own design. With Morrigan and Shadowheart, their mindsets and beliefs were forced upon them.

@@VDA19 I think we also need to take into account that Marjolaine also immensely manipulated Leliana by constantly pushing the conviction that she was not who she was, while basically encouraging a twisted sense of fun and violence up until the point where it just became a part of her. All three of them were influenced by certain figures in their lives when they were unable to figure themselves out just yet. Leliana was, if I remember correctly, also very young when she started adventuring with Marjolaine. In entirety, I think Shadowheart indeed remind me of Leliana /and/ Morrigan, but in this scene and path in particular, I especially leaned towards Leliana because how ruthless she ended up being.

Reminds me more of Jaesa Willsaam from SWTOR. You can either keep her on the light path in which she is the sweetest girl ever with a slow-burn, but very rewarding romance, or you can turn her to the dark side, in which case she becomes a psychotic murderous vixen. With a much more... physical romance path.

Greater deities generally don't interfere directly with mortals, otherwise what would stop Selune from smiting all the followers of Shar and Shar doing the same. Selune didn't interfere with her daughter being captured and used by Balthazar, so why would she interfere with a cleric of Shar taunting her. Ao kinda prevents this type of thing from happening, and gods in D&D aren't omniscient except for Ao himself. Also Selune has the power to resurrect Aylin in her own realm in the Astral Sea (and probably did so). Shadowheart killing the Nightsong was more symbolic, since Shar wanted Shadowheart to be her chosen. To become a Dark Justiciar you must kill a Selunite, but to become Shar's chosen I guess you have to kill THE Selunite; Selune's daughter.

Selune cant intervene. All huge deities are being monitored by Ao. And they live in fear as Tyr once decided to disobey him and was blinded for eternity. Only big deity that is allowed to do whatever is pleased is basically Lloth as she doesnt live in astral plane and halfly is demon so Ao cant really influence nor stop her

@@Keram-io8hv to get to this point you have to first Kill Shadowsong, (Selune daughter if what shadowsong says is to be take literally) then sacrifice 2 Selune worshippers at the command of Shar to cut the last vestiages Shadowheart had to her past forever sealing her fate to shar. You are either complicit or negligent in doing anything to stop this, and if you pursue a romance with this Shadowheart you stand by as she Descartes a shrine of Selune with the blood of nightsong and then proceeds to have sex there….honestly I wouldn’t be suprised if clerics have the option of changing their diety to Shar if you followed through all this

Not really. She wouldnt even care. Loss and absence is her second name. Gamewise only reason she helps you with buffs etc is to fill Nightsongs place on final fight. Selune literally gave Aylin to your command with her cleric. Gave you 1 glaive 1 spear. Sure she didnt communicate with Shadowheart because shes not fully a believer yet. When you ask her about If shes turned to Selune she says she dont wanna deal with gods for now. She needs time a bit.

Dark Justiciar Shadowheart is bordering on Dark Side Jaesa. And I'm all for it.

Honestly, not a bad choice for a Dark Urge playthrough. It's fucked up as hell but honestly from a storytelling perspective really cool. Two dark and deeply messed up people falling in love and realizing they'd watch the world burn with each other and enjoy it is... a vibe. It’s dark and erotic and we're here for it. WE ARE HERE TO SEE CHOSEN BY A DARK GODDESS DOMMY MOMMY SHADOWHEART WOOOOOO (I still prefer good bean Selunite Shadowheart or Dark Justiciar but spares her parents Shadowheart though lol, but this ain't half bad for a "we're evil and we're gonna vibe with it" playthrough.)

@@sammantixgm Redeemed DA + Redeemed Shadowheart is (imo at least) the best way to go for both of these characters. I'm such a softie and I love beautiful redemption arc stories (especially when the people being redeemed aren't necessarily evil in the first place, but rather just people in terrible circumstances with their hands tied). While it's fun to see Shadowheart being a DOMMY MOMMY and doing this fucked up religious sex ritual, I think we can both agree that good bean Shadowheart is definitely the best Shadowheart. Besides, having tender beach sex is pretty hot too XD

Does Shar and Selunite Shadowheart have diffrent dialogues/approvals in other missions? I remember if you try to redeem Kethric and turn him back to Seluna, Selunite Shadowheart will approve. I also remember during Astarions final misson (spoilers) Selunite Shadowheart will comment about how its not worth killing all of those innocent people for the power and will beg Astarion to stop the ritual if he starts it.

Selune when someome is robbing her donating chests: Oh buddy, you are cursed now,and removing the curse is gonna be painful. Selune when someone is taunting her by pouring blood of her daughter on Selune's statue: ...Silence... I thought this must cause a fight at least with three devas,and only then romance scene...

Ok for some reason i really can't manage to trigger this scene. I did all of the choices made her into a dark justiciar and i can still kiss her etc, but the cutscene never triggered when i had in baldurs gate. After some 8 longs rests i went to confront her clan and made her the leader and made her kill her parents etc and the scene is still not triggering. Can someone help me on where i went wrong? I really can't figure this out

@@Hollykrist what triggers did you get for the romance throughout the earlier acts? for me, i got the kiss at the victory feast in act 1, gave her the noblestalk and had the convo about connecting in act 2. killed the nightsong, left act 2 with exceptional approval. had her calling me lover and could kiss on demand in act 3, stopped at the circus to do the dryad scene, then rushed to the house of grief for her personal quest, killed her parents. long rest > no cutscene.

@@Hollykrist im thinking maybe i missed some camp scenes in act 2 after finishing the gauntlet and going to moonrise. ive been trying to read all i can about the order of events and maybe i should have done some long rests there before leaving for the gate. unfortunately all my saves from there are gone so im literally about to start again from act 1 and rush through it again, while resting more. its so annoying that missing one thing or maybe doing stuff out of order just totally locks you out

Edit: Lucky for me, it was NOT an ending! "It's an ending. You also can't become a mind flyer, which I did and it's instead a whole drama about how dangerous it is for you now. I looked this up because I really wasn't in the mood to go all the way back and change a few choices for potentially more disappointment. Now I regret it, this was 100% the ending I was originally hoping for."

You long rest and have very high approval after killing her parents, keep talking to her, etc. It was sometime after the scene you're describing, but not at the ending of the game.

​@@natebardwell You might know by now, but this isn't an ending. You get this scene if you romanced Shadowheart and allowed her to kill Nightsong. You also get a different variation of this scene if Shadowheart rejects Shar. It's just a cutscene, not the end of the game.

There's more but this is the censored version. In the uncensored version you can see her breasts and she will say: "First comes the act of wickedness then the feast" and she moves her face towards your groin as it fades to black.

I suppose I'll throw a spoiler warning here You romance her on the dark justiciar path on a durge playthrough, she's one of the easier characters to romance, get her romance path started in act 1 via gaining approval and getting the wine scene, also get her to open up about her past and religious beliefs and support those beliefs, continue the romance by gaining approval throughout the rest of act 1, give her night orchids and convince her to kill nightsong in act 2 which will lock you into the Dark Justiciar path which will eventually lead you to this scene in act 3, finish her character arc at the house of Grief in Baldurs Gate

Didn't becoming a dark justicar mean forgoing her romance with the main character?

She explains that there are loopholes and while it could never be called love and they could never properly be together they can be together in certain ways as long as they celebrate shar

Dark Urge canon appearance.

Honestly, Idk why people love SH so much. She's very passive aggressive in act 1 and if you go dark route, immature things like this just make me wanna punch her. Yes, the good route gives her an amazing redemption...but, she still found it acceptable to do this as a cleric. Even if Shar's hatred of Selune is used as an excuse, for her to say "Let's see what comfort we can offer a grieving mother" before smearing Aylin's blood all over the effigy is probably the single most sick thing in the game imo. It might not be gory, but it doesn't speak well for the character that did it.. Tbc I'm not outraged at Larian for writing her this way, it's good that they write her in a way that elicits strong feelings if that is what they were going for. Js though if I personally saw someone doing something similar, I would be hard pressed to find anything they do likable thereafter and would probably have had beef with them right there.

It is because you didn't save her from the pot so she doesn't trust you. If you save her from the pot and choose good dialogues she acts just sweet towards you with zero quips etc passive aggresive behaviour. Im really getting surprised Shadow says those things in some videos like mocking you as you should spend the night with Gale while in my playthrough she asked me to find her after everybody is wasted..

@ggoddkkiller1342 nope, traveled with her and got no disapproval all the way through the goblin camp. She'd been untrusting immediately and gave no suggestion of her faith towards Shar until the tollhouse; when she finally admitted it as if it were some kind of huge secret, she was still snarky as can be until emerald grove was done. The only thing that could be seen as negative would be that laezel approached me romantically, but still no disapproval, and if she narratively didnt like me because of my choice in romantic interest alone, it still doesn't say great things about her character.

@@TheEphemeralEternity So you slept with Lazael after or before you promised to Shadow? While watching videos i realized Lazael acting nicer to some people while for me she was quite annoying, cocky all the time. I think it is not entirely about approval rather there are some events which changes how they see you depending on your choices. For example i refused Lazael's offer, there might be some more. And she admitted her Shar faith way earlier for me during act 1 and even said things such ''She doesn't have to become a justiciar anymore as she has me now and it is enough for her'' Clearly something affected her trust towards you it could be sleeping with Lazael or perhaps more, what you did when they fought for artifact?

Ugh
