Thanks so much for coming along on this ride! Especially thanks to those of you who were patient all those months waiting for this to return. Seriously. In just a couple of days I'll be posting the next LP! Episodes for what's upcoming will be less spaced out than these were too as I'm looking to slowly tweak things up. Lots to come!

I am usually not interested in content other than GW, but this was very entertaining. You where worrying about rambling too much a few videos ago, when you also talked about the game industry, but for me this complemented the LP very well. looking forward to your new projects!

I'm in for more Tomb Raider, in different forms. The survivor trilogy LPs were my intro to the franchise, and I've now played a chunk of them and developed an affection for the character and franchise thanks to that intro. That sounds odd and out of the blue, but there's a reason for it. You, WP, bring a passion and depth to your discussion of the games you feature. Obviously, I started from GW2 content, lore and state of the game discussions. But I found the content worth following even as it strayed from GW. And I still do. I'll be keeping an eye on your next projects to see what I'll be exposed to, and what insights I get from them. A guided tour around some of the things YOU value and enjoy. Show me something you are passionate about and that passion gets communicated in the content. Now, Shadow wasn't something you were specifically passionate about, even disappointed by, but the franchise (nostalgia?) is, and THAT still got communicated through the episodes. It rounded out the full Survivor LP series in a frank, fulsome way. That disappointment was honest, fair and earned. But it wasn't bitter, and it wasn't for clicks. And I don't feel my time was wasted. So, thanks, and we'll see you for the next ride.

Really enjoyed you returning to the more traditional let's play for the end of this series. Would be cool to see you play the classics someday. Your coverage of the remasters a few episodes back has convinced me to give them a play for the first time having only played the survivor trilogy so far. Thanks for that!

@@WoodenPotatoes It took me a good while to get a feel for it, but I can see why the classics got so popular back in the day. The atmosphere in the tomb raider one is brilliant so far. There is a real sense of isolation that you don't get from many games. I've been impressed with the remasters as well. I don't think they could have done any better than they have. Though I do wish they had reanimated the pre-rendered cutscenes, The remaster is now in this weird place where the game looks better than the heavily compressed cutscenes. But that's only a minor gripe.

Have now finished this full let's play. After starting it a month or so ago (after waiting for it to be complete), it was a great let's play WP. Even with it switching from live format to then post commentary format (honnestly I do enjoy you rambling about related topics with the game going on in the background with you farming the pick ups). Looking forward to picking up your next Lp's you have been making. Always enjoy your content WP. Keep up the amazing work. Quick side note: your episode 11 in your playlist is after episode 20. I had a what the moment when watching the last 5 episodes on the tv via the playlist thinking I've already seen this episode.

WP: Magic is real! Jonah on a flying motorbike: You're a witch lara. For me yea, I think the story was handled in a rather slip shod manner (you know...similar to dragonstorm in some respects), but the game play of this particular DLC seems good enough.

I am very much onboard for some LPs or multi-part reviews of the Tomb Raider remasters. That said, I'm not a fan at all of the series - my entire experience of Tomb Raider comes from the last four or five episodes of this, a few early episodes of a previous LP of yours, and Josh Strife Hayes's Was It Good videos on the first two games. Hearing someone interesting and articulate dive into the games they love, however, always piques my interest, so I'm definitely eager to listen to you go through the remasters.

Happy to see the end of Shadow since I never got around to playing it, but yeah, it was definitely underwhelming. The "Its the real world you know, but with a slight fantasy spin" has always been one of my favorite tropes; so I enjoyed the world building they were setting up in TR2013. But Shadow definitely didn't do much with that aspect and just tried to wrap everything up as quick as possible so they could move on. They had a decent premise but just failed to dive deep enough to really explore it. I guess the budget went into the more flashy aspects of the game. But as always, looking forward to whatever you decide to put out next WP!

41:55 Come now WP, clearly the arms are too high up, look where her torso is in relation. :P Yeah, a cool puzzle, but kinda tedious to do. The Ubisoft collect-a-thon survival caches were so dumb, but I love the ancient tomb puzzles, I love exploring the environments in this game. The story/writing elements are just such a let down though. I don't know, are we asking too much to expect a good story? Seeing as none of the games really do have one? There is just this feeling of unrealized potential throughout the whole Survivor Trilogy.

I was going to make a comment about how annoying the constant puzzle "hints" (if you can call stating the obvious that) from Lara were, but then I notice that on the difficulty settings, she's supposedly not giving any hints already? What? Does that mean there's even more obvious stuff she could've been stating the whole time? Also how much did the season pass cost? I can't tell for how steam lists it, but on xbox it's like £15 right now. I'd have been pretty annoyed at that, from what I've seen. At least now I don't need to play it myself to know how the trilogy ends, lol.

Oh god yeah I do wonder. Imagine being a day one player full collectors edition, season pass, the works. Then one DLC gets cancelled and the rest are these short weird-mo-cappy snippets. I don't remember how the difficulty affected her speech rate to be honest, just the fact that survival instincts would literally tell you where to go and what to do.

I find it interesting how you're trying to diversify your channel with non guild wars content, but it seems as though most of your viewers, nowadays, are tunnel vision-ed on guild wars. This video was uploaded 2 days ago and it has almost 1k views, but your gw3 news video, uploaded 10 hours ago, has 15k views. Even your recent gw1 video, 6 days ago, has 19k views. Have you considered creating a new channel for LP's such as this?

I went into this playthrough knowing nothing about these games, wanting to learn how they work and play. Turns out they are pretty lame, at least this one is. So while watching this, I asked myself who would play this. And you said you play it for your connection with the series, that's fair enough, but how would the publisher attract new customers outside of that, because watching the gameplay sure isn't very appealing. So I actually went to watch the trailer and it's just 'look at this creepy occult visuals'. So I'm left wondering, how do the economics work out, because the game looks fairly expensive, that's basically the only good thing about it, who is buying these boring games for them to be making more? Is it just the nostalgia crowd or are they somehow managing to attract new customers with shiny visuals maybe? But I did hear the other games are better and a third product in a series being the worst in an otherwise quality series isn't exactly unheard. So basically I'm left with more questions than I started with. But anyway, thanks for making content and, ya know, finishing it to a conclusion. I enjoy watching and the discussions very much.

Thanks angels! I think there is probably a good game and a good story buried in here somewhere. If it had been less messy, if the gameplay had been less boiled down, if it had been longer in the right places. And the whole ubisoft collectathon style definitely draws a crowd, as do pretty cover-based shooters. But yeah, if this game came out without the "Tomb Raider" name and heritage, I don't think it would have attracted much of a crowd.
