An interesting gameplay addition.

My father bought me the Sega Mega Drive when I was 5-6. I always used to play Shadow Dancer, Bonanza Brothers, Sonic and both Golden Axe I and II. I won't lie, I was absolutely trash on this game, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Looking back at it now, it was so easy haha! But my oh my, the nostalgia kicking in now, what fun times they were...

Maybe you were too young to be good in those games. I got my first megadrive when I was 14, but before I played games on an Amstrad computer. Those cassete games were really hard for me, so I could beat the megadrive games quite easy...

@@RetroDanuart Haha it definitely was due to my age, I remember getting around halfway but just wasn't good enough. I'm also a teenager, and so a Sega Mega Drive was pretty uncommon in my childhood - I was only born in 2003. So when my father bought it in 2008/09, I was a bit sad because it just wasn't the norm, because the DS and PSP were out and they seemed so much cooler. Now looking back, I want to thank my father who has cultured me enough to love the games he did when he was also a child (he especially loved Golden Axe II and this game).

juegazo... me acuerdo de chico jugandolo con mi hermano mayor y yo le dejaba jugarlo a el porque era muy dificil para mi este juego y cuando llego a la final o lo termino sentimos una alegria gigante, hoy mi hermano ya no esta con nosotros pero de seguro nos cuida desde el cielo, te extraño hermano! :(

Yeah one of the best in this game, along with the statue of liberty elevator.

Even though I grew up in the 2000s alot of my childhood is actually playing on old consoles because my parents didnt want to buy me newer things so i use to play on a sega and this game was my favorite i also only use to watch other 80s and 90s cartoons so for me growing up was almost like a 80s kids

Si la verdad que esta versión, sin llegar a ser el arcade, que también me parece un gran juego, tiene muchas cosas que me gustan: La música está a un altísimo nivel, y algunas fases, como la del ascensor de la estatua de la libertad, son ya míticas para mi.

Very appropiate...

The Mega Drive version is one of the few games that Sega did slightly different on the Mega Drive and it's looks, plays and sounds much better than the arcade version. This game is very detailed and has some good thumping music tracks and bone crunching sounds, if this version was in the arcades i bet it would have taken more coins than the first Shinobi game.

Won't say is better than the arcade but I agree it has stronger points. In fact, for me the arcade is like a game made in a hurry, without polishing some aspects.

Well, it's a game with balanced difficulty. The arcade version is harder.

U have played extremely well, its quite difficult game, u need to remember all and proper killing postion and timing and technique to save ur life, it seems easy but its really difficult when u play and u should be expert 🤗❤

Que bien resuelta esta versión de megadrive. Gráficamente impactante, el shinobi lo conozco mucho pero este juego no. Si me permites el consejo...Se echan en falta unos comentarios chulos para que los demás nos enteremos mejor.

Bueno, para la megadrive los de Sega, en algunos casos, decidieron realizar versiones totalmente diferentes de los arcade, no se si porque el hardware no daba el nivel (posiblemente) o por alguna que otra oscura razón. En este caso la jugada les salió bastante bien, y no desmerece para nada a la recreativa aunque básicamente emplee el mismo esquema jugable... Lo de comentar los vídeos ya me lo han dicho alguna vez, pero no estoy por la labor, me gusta mostrar los juegos tal cual, además en este caso concreto te vas a enterar de todo ya que el juego no tiene ningún misterio. La idea es complementar los vídeos de youtube con un blog que tengo en worpress, pero por desgracia éste último no va al mismo ritmo (me da muchísima pereza hacer una simple entrada ya que además da bastante trabajo). De todas maneras, manchar la maravillosa música de la fase del ascensor de la estatua de la libertad con mi voz cazallera, sería un crimen imperdonable :)

¿Le darás a los otros shinobi´s?. Nunca pensé que me pasaría los arcades y son las partidas que mas me han divertido subir. Esta versión me parece muy buena.

Los otros Shinobis estan en el canal: Solo me faltan las conversiones a ordenadores de 8bits, pero el resto ya están subidos. Respecto a las versiones, todas y cada una de de las que he jugado me parecen grandes juegos, incluso este Shadow Dancer tiene su propia personalidad y encanto, haciendo que no echemos mucho de menos la versión arcade.

As far I remember, that is the plot in the janaese release. In the english manual the character is Joe Mushasi itself.

Infancia pura este juego me costó mucho de chico, me regalaron mi primer sega marca Songa con 2 joystick y este juego que fue el primero. Me costó tanto pasarlo, renegue hasta que pude, lo jugué tanto y hace unos años lo volví a jugar ahora tengo el sega original pero tengo que conseguir de nuevo este juego. Era tan feliz y no lo sabía ja.

Te recomiendo el md emu de sega genesis aunque sea de pago es el mejor emulador de sega megadrive para android e ios y los juegos se pueden descargar de varios roms de google chrome pero el freeroms es el que mas te recomiendo para que descargues esta joya de shadow dancer el secreto de shinobi.😊😊😊😊😊
