I disagree with the negative comments. The show still has the same charm it's always had. Ant is as good as, if not better than Edd. Edd was great too, but he and Ant have different styles in presenting and explaining. I find Ant to be a better presenter. The show is still great. Millions of viewers around the world can't be wrong. Not too many TV shows get close to making it into their second decade. This one has. Speaks for itself.

I fully agree with you, Edd and Ant are two very different presenters, each bring their own qualities, I watched seemlessly when Ant took over and I still enjoy the laughs and cars, I don't take it too seriously at all, it's just a bit of fun.

I have a 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Just got it painted and the wood trim back on. It is mechanically sound and drives like a dream. I just had it appraised by my insurance at $30k US. These things are collector items.

Ant is more entertaining that Edd China, now I can enjoy it even more and Mike as usual very funny guy.

That is a beautiful Jeep.

Here in the UK I have an 83 Cherokee (Laredo) WT. Inhereted from a friend who passed away. Literally "one of a kind" as it is the only FSJ, of that year still registered with DVLA (UK DMV). Also Uber rare as it is properly converted to RHD, instead of the chain drive conversion almost all the UK FSJ's had. Aluminium bumpers, not the nasty chrome plated steel bumpers that were fitted to previous versions.. Sitting on my driveway, waiting for a body shop to be brave enough to take it on (and the lottery win to be able to pay for the work!).

Ever since Ed left I cannot bare to watch the show

I just watched the start of this episode and had to switch off. I mean, complaining at the state of this Jeep when he was only asking $6000 for it, especially when virtually everything worked on it, it had had an engine rebuild, it drove well, and the problems were mainly cosmetic. What did he except for that price? Goodness, they're regularly ripping out interiors and replacing, and pulling engines apart, and he even beat him down from $6000 to $4000 something, goodness, what a cheek, especially when he said that pristine versions could go for $40,000. I would have told him to take a hike for offering that price. I thought he was very scathing about such a good example. Ant even called it ugly! Gee whiz! Anyway, I've got it recorded so I'll watch the rest when I've calmed down because I think it's a fantastic machine, and certainly not ugly. Goodness, I despair at some British people's taste sometimes towards American cars, and I reckon I can say that because I'm British. They only like the muscle cars, and I'm already annoyed with this show because when they took it to America they did mainly British, European and Japanese cars. Anyway, other than those points I think the show's great.

I agree, it’s not the same without Edd, but I think Ant’s a good bloke. The problems started when the yanks took over production, now they’re dedicating less time to showing the mechanical segments, and more time to the buying and selling of the vehicle. I know they’re under time constraints, but the bigger jobs used to have more exposure than what’s being shown now. Typical American thing, I s’pose

4hi it doesn't jump due to the no 229 tcase has a clutch pack in it to allow smooth 4wheel drive operation... it locks in 4wheel low range then it jumps like a kangaroo

Yep. I noticed this comment too. They expect too little from a Jeep. Smoothest engaging, riding and tightest turning solid axle-leaf sprung vehicle I've driven.

You have to put a wagoneer into reverse to get it to kick into 4wheel drive

Mike in his new bud are just too weird . Whoever heard of a mechanic or a grown man that wears boots all day. These at work boots these are weird boots .. I guess they're both light on their feet .

Honestamente NO me agradó este episodio, cualquiera compra un carro viejo, lo manda a pintar y tapizar, solo hubo y por así decirlo dos trabajos de restauración, el del simular con pintura un efecto de madera y el trabajo de la suspensión, me decepcionó mucho pues mi abuelo tenía una en perfectas condiciones y ver esto no fue agradable, la rescataron (si) es verdad pero... con toneladas de dinero, cuando empezó el programa se trataba de rescatar un carro con muy poco presupuesto y no con toneladas de este y con Ed C. si se notaba el trabajo de restauración mecánica!!!

I'd take it and add to my 5 wagoneers and cherokees any day. Damn bits bitch about everything. I paid 4k for one of mine in just a little bit worse shape. It's all minor cosmetics.

Bring back Mr China for fuck sake!

Mike has toned down his voice, and speed, a few degrees, and that makes him a lot more tolerable, and a lot less annoying to listen to. If only Mike would have kept his mouth shut, and not backstabbed Edd, I could have started to even like Mike. As much as I like Edd, I think this new guy is not bad at all. I watched another clip where he actually made a good job of explaining and showing things, and New Wheeler Dealers are still WAY better than the other options of shows with screaming, baldheaded dramaqueens, where you don't see any mechanical stuff done at all. What a waste of time they are... I saw Edd's new pilot too, and wasn't extremely impressed, frankly. I'm in.

Jesper Hansen. In fairness, Ant was a good choice to replace Edd. Maybe they should ditch Mike and bring Edd back and have him and Ant working together. Car SOS is pretty good!

These Eurpoeans are way too used to nice looking Land Rovers that are mechanical garbage. They see a rough Wagoneer and expect something that won't even run.

Not worth 1500. Can buy these all day long for500$ . Must be california.
