@@luigip.1892 Alright, just watched the part in Joerg's video where he cuts the tatami. I think it's fairly clear that Joerg still has trouble cleaning slicing through it. After Joerg cuts, the tatami remains slanted; half the cut felt like it simply bent and snapped because of the sheer force he put in. The tatamis in this samurai video barely budge when the nagitana slices through; it's a clean slice the whole way through. It might be true that anyone can break the tatami, but cutting through seems to be much harder.

In case you didn't know, that "sword on a stick" is called a naginata. It was one of the primary battlefield weapons during most of Samurai history when skirmishes got too close for bow and rifle. The katana was primarily used as a back up weapon on the battlefield, but was one of the main weapons for dueling.

"English gentleman are philanthropists, assisting the weak and striking down strong. They detest all unfairness and fight for justice, while showing great respect for the law." Those words are said in my favorite japanese novel. It says a philosophy of gentlemans. Japanese BUSHI had so like that. It was very precious, but now they are not so, i'm feeling sorry. But BUSHI's heart, japanese kind heart, has never died out, forever. Forever I believe it! Today we are having a big flood victim by heavy rain. But every time victims and no victims want to help each other. It is most important reason I love japan. I hope increasing such as people in japan and in the world!!
