compared to Cytus's other fast paced maps, Halcyon is one of the most slowest in the game, thus making it hard to time after playing a bunch of fast songs; but yeah, Arcaea is clearly harder as Cytus's map is mostly made up of spam taps

I see people saying arcaea is harder, but that Cytus level is extremely difficult. When the notes are bunched up like that it's hard to hit all of them accurately. Just because it's slow doesnt mean it's easy. I find the slow hard levels to be a pain.

How do I get good at rhythm games? practice is one thing but I can't seem to wrap my eyes around whats happening a lot.

For me, I start playing from the medium difficulty first. (like Present in Arcaea or Easy/Hard 5~6 in Cytus) then if I could clear the chart, I start playing from there. If not, lower the difficulty by 1 and try again. Do it until I pass. Then try to play all chart in that difficulty. (If you still feel that the chart is still hard, lower the difficulty.) After passing about 70~80% of that difficulty or feeling confident, start playing higher difficulty. If you could pass some of it, you're improving. Keep going on that way. If not, practice the same difficulty you already pass again for a while then try the harder one until you pass. Other things I would like to suggest is trying to change calibration, turn on "show early/late" option on if available, and have fun. If you stressed out, you might perform badly so take a break once in a while.

A lot of it is just getting used to “reading” the charts. Arcaea was not fun for me at first because the learning curve was so steep but I stuck with it by just playing a few songs a day for a month. After I got through that initial stage I improved at a faster rate

I wish i have the same vision that they have. If i play a game like that its making my sight blurry.

I think arcaea is harder because it has a lot more possible charting patterns, so there is simply more to learn.
