Wow, you really do have to be alert at all times. If you had accidentally stepped on that yamakagashi (or any other venomous snake), you could've been bitten. However, I know you are a very careful and observant hunter.

True! Yamakagashi have strong venom. However, their fangs are located at the back of their mouths, so it's probably okay if they bite you. I'll continue to be cautious when I go out.
