They are both amazing dancers. They compliment each other. Ricardo is a far better dancer than Max.

@lawellins & @helinshaker: As for Riccardo being trasparent next to Yulia, remember in Latin dancing the focus must be on woman not the man, i.e, the man is the frame and the woman is the picture. So it is good that you see only Yulia dancing, that means Riccardo is being the frame and allowing Yulia to be the picture. The reason they are successful. Too many male dancers dance like they're both the frame and the picture. Maybe good if they're dancing alone but not good in a couple.

@lawellins & @helinshaker: In 5-yrs with Max the best Yulia got was one US National Pro Latin Championship (2007). In under 4-yrs with Riccardo, she got four US National Pro Latin Championship (2008-2011) and two world championships (2010-2011). So in terms of achievements Riccardo has been better for Yulia. As for chemistry, they would not have been so successful if there was no chemistry.

@lawellins: Yeah I know, he's with Anastasia Grigoreva. He met her like he met Yulia who he was engaged to also. Anastasia is a beautiful woman and dancer and I wish her all the best with Max. As for opinions, yours or anyone else's, "they are like assholes". Facts and real accomplishments are what matters. Judges don't not render opinions they give decisions that results in a fact. BTW M&A and R&Y were in head-to-head competition at the 2011 Latin World Cup in Russia.

@IX19UT8O Max is dancing again and engaged to a lovely dancer who is not as refined and perfect as Julia but has an amazing smile and "availability" factor . You and the judges are entitled to your opinions surely but I find Ricardo more fussy than manly. He does not draw my eye. Viva la differance!

U can only see Yulia dancing ,,, This Ricardo is transparent beside her ... She was so much better with Max ..

Bellabana. IVe seen many of your posts. It clear no one is allowed to have a different opinion to yours without you attacking them. if the truth be known the reason they are many times world champions may be more due to the fact that the competition is not as strong since they partnered up .You have very biased views but I can respect that .You should do the same in return to others.
