@@falcon9ft710 If you want to get into the semantics, then true. There is no such thing as true alt rock. Since it is "Alternative". Meaning anything other than that is defined. Or another option to what is popular. What I meant by "True alt rock" is within the context of Japanese live house style of music. The playlist features shoegaze, post-rock, math-rock, and indie styles that are considered genres of alternative. These are the sounds that are prevalent within the Japanese live house/indie culture that I resonated with when I lived and played there. Example, in the context of Japanese rock culture, I wouldn't consider metal to be alternative rock. I wouldn't consider pop-rock to be alternative either. But math-rock and shoegaze? Definitely.

@@blackman5867 You listen to Alice In Chains, Pantera, Daft Punk and Casiopea? You're cool as hell. Japanese shoegaze is great tho. Its basically indie rock but more atmospheric and "spacey" due to the distorted guitars.

@@jeppyjep to be honest with you, I only started listening to Dirt and Vulgar repeatedly for about a month since someone said that these albums didn't have a single bad song from start to end, so I'm kinda already biased to like them too. And if you are curious of my opinion on each of them, Vulgar sounds like something GG Allin would have made if he had had a better band and studio, and Dirt is like something I'd listen to when I ain't wanna live no moreeee... But personally I say Appatite for Destruction is the best rock album I have ever heard in my life. And about shoegaze, I usually like listening to something more energetic and melodic like Polkadot Stingray and Eve. So maybe if I could understand the language, I'd enjoy the genre too.

I promise myself that i'll be in a band playing this genre of music infront of many people despite having an anxiety

I wash dishes for 8 hrs a day. Finding this playlist feels like striking gold lol. Thank you and thank you for putting it on soundcloud too! Edit: i only listened to the first song and thought this was going to be good for work and all. Now...this music makes feel like im floating in the clouds while at the same time it makes me feel like i met the girl of my dreams and we actually hit it off and the pure happiness i would feel in that moment is the same as i feel right now. It makes me sad and happy all at the same time. I literally stopped in my tracks as i was working to focus on the song. Thats the first time ive ever done. Thank you for being in my recommendations!

Лол, нетривиальная рок музыка на необычном на слух языке под завораживающий визуал со смешанными стилями манги и чб экранчиков (будто на e-ink дисплее) с выразительным персонажем (да ещё и на басу) и простеньким, но классным движением на фоне Теперь я понял, что мне нравятся девочки-басистки (ещё и в длинных плиссированных юбках) Но, к сожалению, в наушниках, воткнутых в выход элетрогитары (ещё и басовой), ты ничего не услышишь - нужно усиление

I'm a big american alternative rock fan (Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, etc) and I've been looking for a way to find more Japanese alt rock bands to listen to after listening to Sol-Fa by Asian Kung Fu Generation and finishing bocchi. I found this on my recommended and I cannot thank you enough. Hope you make more of these so I can discover more bands.
