Sgt. Barnes | Platoon Edit

Ойындар

I do not own the movie nor the music, I just simply edited it together.
I think I'm improving a bit with my editing!
Movie: Platoon (1986)
Song: Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood (Instrumental)

Rah is actually quite a grounded level headed guy. He talks Taylor out of killing Barnes then he talks Barnes out of killing Taylor. He’s good at defusing tensions. He’s like the opposite of Bunny. RIP to the actor who played him who I think was the son of Anthony Quinn. Michael Quinn I think? Please correct me if I’m wrong

Didn't a bunch of them follow Elias though? Albeit, Barnes hated Elias so your point still stands. You don't need everyone to hate you but if you're not a strong enough personality that no on hates you and it's more than 10 people, you're probably not doing something right or you lucked out and everyone is in agreement.

People follow Barnes out of a combination of fear and of respect for power. They also feel safe with Barnes, they know he will look out for them and has the skill set to defeat the enemy if they listen to him. It takes men like Barnes to win wars

@@aldosigmann419 Yeah, my mononbraincell "fren".. Barnes is an NCO, who does not care about human life. A criminal of war, who did not get to be court martial, but was obviously guilty. He only did care about fighting his own little war, even if he dad to murder his own people. A superior like him would get you kill easily in a combat zone, as it was shown in the movie. Now, have you learned how to walk in all fours you maggot? Since dragging is so patetic.

@@saulquezada7898 Was going to say. Barnes was a cold SOB who was too willing to expend lives and didn't develop the platoon. Man didn't understand the political situation that casualties were bad for fighting a war the US could choose whether it wanted to fight and losing soldiers is a bad thing militarily unless they're uniquely incompetent. You don't get another Elias out of the replacement pool. He sounds bad ass but being a jerk doesn't get anyone to perform better, it just makes life suck more.
