Great video Marlene! I love your positivity during the good times and the stormy time; you're an inspiration for all of us. Thanks for being as transparent as you can; we don't need to know everything, but it makes it more real. I feel you about storms I just ended up with a $2400 copay from a hospital stay about two weeks ago I wasn't planning on. It ate my emergency fund, but I'm glad I had it. Now I know I need two emergency funds.

Do you have an option for an HSA or any sort of medical savings? I am so happy we have an HSA available through my work. Both my hubby and I have HSAs and we try to put the maximum in that taxes will allow, especially since this money is before taxes!! Anyway to save money and not pay taxes on it is a win in my book!!

@@kittyface7kat327 I am not sure how FSAs work...do you have to spend them within the calendar year? I know it can be tough if this is the case. We are lucky for the HSAs because they can rollover and continue to grow. Thank you!!

That's exactly what happens which is why I only put in there what I know I'll spend during the year normally. Now, that hospitalization has increased (multiple autoimmune diseases) I think I'll need to do HSA. I do have an HMO so I'll need to check the rules with HSA I hope you're having a great Mom's Day and don't have to work.@snowgardener307budgets.

I have not gotten a Janelle's monthy mystery binder..but July has cats on the cover. And July will be almost my 1 year youtube video anniversary (its August but close enough, right?). I have plenty of challenges to do...but the binder cover is to cute. The struggle is real because they are sooooo many challenges I want to add to my collection. Haha

To buy a CD you just need to determine which institution or bank you want to use. I use Capital One because their interest rates are pretty dang good. A 12-month CD is 5% right now. You can purchase the CD online once you have an account, so it is quite easy! Then you just go back once a month and purchase another one. I suggest you watch Debt Free Jessie's CD Ladder video, if you haven't already!
