I heard someone mention in another randomizer race that under certain conditions, you have to manually turn on silvers, much as you have to turn on plasma if you get it in Zelda. I think that's what happened here.

Awesome gameplay and great skills on both sides. But the comments were annoying and cringe...

Not that I expect Duck to read this, but I'm pretty sure Speed Booster qualifies as "CanFly" for most, if not all, logical checks. It's possible that canfly-flags are also speed-flagged, but I can't think of any canfly's that you can't use speed to get to. Except the back of LN / GT Showcase Showdown, which is Space Jump specific, not canfly. On the race - watching Andy skip Shaft Supers when he has speed and morph ball and is right next to it after picking up mirror hurts my soul. I know it's probably nothing, but when you have just cleared out all of brin and have no known checks of value left, to not spend the 30s on Shaft supers is the hardest, most nonsensical abandoned check that will only serve to be a kick in the plums in the unlikely scenario it is something. Even considering Randy had no bombs.

Well with 2 PBs you can only check shaft supers OR 230. Shaft supers also has a chance to go wrong quickly and lead to death, easiest skip decision of my life. Speed also does not qualify for all canfly situations. Something else is needed to enter LN via lava room and getting up through worst room in the game

@@AndyLaso With no bombs I agree - but it still hurts. In the situation you were in, if Shaft Supers was a major item, it would have probably been literal last-location-ed at that point. Which would have been bad considering how almost everything in both games was unlocked shortly after. Point taken about Lava and Worst-Room. I guess the wall jumps are hard enough to not be considered for normal logic, and I'm just too spoiled seeing everyone use them.

I did read this and I am VERY upset that you corrected me. JK Honestly I have no idea what canfly actually means, I just keep track of whats possible most of the time. I was just trying to sound smarter than I am.

@@apathyduck8875 NP, You weren't exactly wrong either... Andy himself actually clarified. They are basically separate overlapping logic flags in most cases, but there are 2 instances where speed can not be the same flag as "canfly". Lava - which needs canfly and Gravity OR highjump and Gravity (and a wall jump) IIRC And; The Worst Room in the Game, because I don't think the crazy tight walljump is in logic I doubt it's in any logic outside of Expert SM-only runs, but you can technically (barely) short-charge Lava room IIRC. The run way is super tight and through the door transition, and then you have to hustle to get in to position, but I believe I've seen it done a handful of times. TWRitG - I don't think there is any work-around to be found for speed to apply here - outside of maybe ridiculous Blue-Suit shenanigans that wouldn't be in logic and probably more trouble than they're worth.

This commentary was like listening to a married couple going on a "date" to try and patch up their failing marriage before they get a divorce. I literally had to just turn it off because listening to these two was the most awful, petty, pathetic shit I've ever seen in the years I've spent watching LTTPR. I sincerely hope that these two never end up sharing a commentary role for the rest of time. Utterly indefensible.
