The Japanese VO does not do him justice, he is really meant to be played in English to get the maximum feel.

Hahaha, I lost it when he asked the chat if they wanted English or Japanese G and they just exploded. The concerned look on his face as he’s staring and pleading with the chat was amazing. Also, it was great to see the “origin story” of Smug’s G. I’ve seen so many of his videos with G, but never saw where it started until now.

as much as I don't like SF5, Smug is my guilty pleasure, every stream is a good time IMO, I love his personality and he makes the game very enjoyable to watch.

I love his walking animation alot too. I remember when I saw Dizzy's walking animation in GGXX and fell in love for the same reason.

Eh, I'd say it's less disappointing than it's just....awkward. Most people rag on english voice actors all day, but honestly I can't see G speaking in anything but English. I mean it's nothing to do with bias, it's just.....freaking look at him!
