I know many disagree but i find watching ryus absolutely fascinating, as a urien main myself not exactly a high rank only silver something cant remember what. theres something immensely satisfying about both watching and pulling off ryu punishes. makes you feel like youre playing proper street fighter, how its meant to be played, not constant jump ins and rush down

Great comment, I agree with you. I’m a Ryu main, but I’m just a bronze (I’m only a casual player). But I watch these Ryu videos and I’m always impressed by how well top Ryu players really understand the fundamentals of the game. It’s exactly in line with what you said, “makes you feel like you’re playing proper SF.” 👍🏻

@kawaiiyobai everything that is not advantageous for a player aka plus frames it's neutral it doesn't matter if it is ground game or air game approach. What pisses off people is that cammy can shut down anti airs so she doesn't have to stay on the ground and even if she does stay there she has op tools that are super difficult to whiff punish (a quarter of ground game) and amazing intercepting proactive pokes (second quarter) and a tools to go around fireballs (third quarter) and a the best aa tools (the last) So she doesn't have to think that much because she is basically op in any regard unlike the rest of the characters. So online heroes do the easiest thing, but still neutral. A shitty neutral I would say because they lack a lot of the game

Ryu’s always been my favorite character in the game since the first SF I had on Genesis. He’s such a well balanced offensive and defensive fighter with some tricky combos but whenever you land em my God the damage....

People saying that cammy was shitty but I think that they don't understand what happend. The first dive kicm was a normal attempt then the second was a bait to mp.dp but he did hp dp the next one was a bait to hp dp but he did sweep anti air. Really smart play from both players then what surprised me the most was all the other anti airs ryu used I mean cammy could've blown those if she just normal jump but I think she was testing the distance and timing were she could jump at ryu but she even got anit air fireball by accident. Kinda impressive from bobby shoryuke

All are viable, but some can control the opponent from distance and others from up close, the thing is how your characters deal with different situations and how is risk reward in those generally speaking high tiers take low risks and get huge reward because how good is their toolset they generally put you in situations that there is nothing you can do but very limited options, the more options your character gets the higher tier, at low ranks they don't know the whole game yet so tiers don't matter and they begin to matter once you reach like master below that people just miss fundamentals like anti airing, footsies even air game they don't know exactly when and why to jump and how at which distances. So there you have it
